[Daniel was in no way prepared for Suddenly, Snow. Which both meant that he wasn't used to snow this deep and that he wasn't even remotely dressed for this sort of cold. With only a t-shirt, jeans, and sneakers, he was freezing and there wasn't a single magical solution he was aware of to keep himself warm. So instead, he'd been trying to find a warm building to duck into...except a lot of these buildings didn't look very warm. In fact, they looked pretty...dilapidated, abandoned, etc. There was one, a little ways ahead, across the street, that looked like a hotel or something.
The problem that was preventing Daniel from actually reaching the building? The brightly colored little snowblower drone that was currently blocking the street he was trying to step out of. Its mostly-charming-somewhat-unsettling googly eyes shook as it moved, but it wasn't actually...moving very fast. He sighed heavily, snow actively drifting down into his blond hair and to dust his shoulders.]
People always talk about the robot uprising being swift and violent, but this makes a lot more sense. I'll probably be a popsicle by the time this thing is done.
[Clearly, this drone existed because someone had the best intentions in mind, so he couldn't bring himself to be properly angry about it. Was the AI at fault? The robot's ability to see? Some combination of the two?
After eyeing the drone for a minute longer, Daniel started to try to edge around it, which involved an attempt to scale a mound of piled up snow that it had pushed in front of him.]

[As if being briefly 'trapped' by the snowblower drone hadn't been bad enough, Daniel's trek through the snow wasn't yet finished. There was still enough snow on the ground where he was walking to obscure an uneven section of pavement- which he, of course, absolutely tripped over and fell flat on his face. On the bright side, the snow cushioned his fall. On the other hand, he'd fallen in the first place- and now there were cold flakes in his eyelashes.
Pushing himself up, he did his best to brush the snow off his face--and really hoped no one had seen him fall. Though, considering he was nearly right in front of the hotel, there was a chance greater than zero that someone had witnessed it. He'd worry about that later though, and instead just pushed the door open to finally enter the hotel. Visibly shivering, he pushed the door shut again and tried to figure out what the warmest spot inside was.]
iii. Storms
[To say he didn't know what was going on would be an understatement. At first, Daniel had thought it was just some sort of thunder storm, so he'd ducked into a building that seen better days to get out of the potential downpour.
But then- he'd heard a voice as familiar to him as his own, calling his name.]
Iliya?
[He couldn't help it; he stepped out into the storm. He could barely see anything, but he'd know his best friend's voice anywhere. And then, he actually saw him, Iliya beckoning to him, and of course, Daniel went towards him.]
Iliya- wait!

[Daniel still looked rather chilled, though he was at least indoors somewhere with an actual heater. So that was a plus. Better than nothing.]
Hey, so uh. Where can a guy get a sweater around here?
[And gloves...and maybe a hat...just warm clothes in general.]
And how often does weird shit happen around here? I already feel like I've had my head messed with and I'm not a fan.
