FALL TEST DRIVE MEME

FALL TEST DRIVE MEME
Application FAQ | Taken Characters | Reserves | Application
Welcome to the Current Test Drive for The Revival Project!
This game is a spin-off from the closed The Drift Fleet game. For more information about the game, including more details on the setting, please check out the FAQ here or the premise here.
A thread on the TDM will be required for all applications. Please view the FAQ for information about how this works. Any questions about the game please direct to the comment section of the FAQ as well.
If you are a Drift Fleet alumni bringing your character from the game, please label your character as 'DFAU' on your top level. Also, keep in mind you have complete flexibility on how your character comes here. They could be taken before endgame, after endgame, two years after, one year before, etc. It's up to you! If you want to completely restart your character, they're not considered DFAU anymore and won't need the label.
So go! Explore Agra 10! And, as always, HAVE FUN!
Thread ideas:
Fall in Temba and Sh'Ka
There isn't really much out of the ordinary to note, even. The stone leaves that used to be a danger in Sh'Ka are no longer a danger as the leaves of the responsible trees seem more stable now. Perhaps it's because of the work He Rows did with the Barrys to stabilize the groves. So, luckily enough, both cities get to enjoy a fairly normal fall season.
With the exception of the small, unusually frequent energy storms that happen sporadically in both cities. They never last longer than a few minutes, never cover more than the area of a small building and their effect is hardly as drastic as that of their larger counterpart. Your powers are still being limited or taken away, but for a change your loved ones aren't trying to lure you down a cliff, fortunately. Though something feels off about them. They barely notice you when you catch a glimpse of them. Instead they are shambling on their way, seeming disoriented and distant at best. Should you get too close, you might even hear them groan...
Explore
Most of the buildings are run down and have clearly been abandoned for years; fortunately, the water treatment center appears to be working and power has been restored to be reliable. What used to be stores or places to live in lies in ruins, but there may still be something to scavenge among the rubble. Do you want to risk a swim in the flooded area that has turned into a deep lake that has proven to be home to verious harmful creatures; or does it draw you to some of the more prominent and partially restored buildings, such as the hotel, the hospital or the amphitheater.
If you are lucky, you might even stumble over The Deep End, the bar located on one of the mid-levels of the tower residences in one of the residence towers. Unfortunately no bright neon signs can lead you there, but it does exist.
Explore the Ships!
There be storms...
Should you step inside the storm, or even get lost in it, it will show ghosts of people you know and those you don't. It drains you of any super-human abilities and tries its best to keep you from getting to its origin. Are you going to try anyways? Or are you going to chase the whispers of people from your past? Maybe you will simply find yourself calling for help or stumble across another lost soul in need of assistance.

His face crumpled as he stepped closer, dropping his forehead against Raph's plastron with an exhausted sigh.
"I didn't want you to be stuck here too, but...I'm still glad you're here anyway." Did that make him a bad person? That was probably just his overthink starting up again.
no subject
He didn't understand Donnie's thought processes. Something about the way he said 'stuck' didn't sit right. He barely scraped the surface of how that intelligent mind worked and all he could do now was support him physically.
The corner of his mouth quirked. "Bein' stuck isn't long-term. Ya just gotta work through it." The larger turtle half-smiled with encouragement, bumping a fist lightly against the purple one's arm. "'Sides, it's better than bein' alone an' separate, yeah? 'Cause we're a team. We work together to get outta whatever mess we get into."
no subject
Was that why things had been so difficult? Because for the longest it had only been him, and even with one more, it still wasn't the same. One limb was still missing, but three out of four was still better than one. A threefold cord something something...
Finally Donnie lifted his face, looking up at Raph, and despite the furrow of his brow, it was at odds with the smile that wavered on his face.
"Yeah. Guess we've always been better as a team, right?"
no subject
"Always have, always will be," Raph said, returning his brother's little smile with a toothy grin of his own. And he believed it with all of his heart.
He also believed it in his head, but that brain of his was trying to work its way through the problem they were both in.
"Now we need to get outta this fog. I can't tell where I'm going here. Plus it keeps makin' me see all of you splitting up on me."
no subject
"The fog's the least of our problems, but it seems you're already somewhat acquainted with the other part of it," he said as he carefully collapsed his tech-bō, pushing the ends back towards the center by hand.
"I'm going to assume you got the brain upload of information already. This is one of those storms. Seeing illusions of people you know is only part of the inconvenience of it all."
no subject
"So what I'm guessin' is, the shadows could be worse? An' we can't do anything about it until it blows over?"
no subject
Donnie looked around to try to get a better idea of their location, waving Raph to follow him.
"I've heard that the illusions have led people into danger before. The ones I've seen this time are...different. But at least there's nothing trying to eat us running around, and no random portals to some twisted shadow version of this city."
Drawing closer to the nearest buildings, he was able to get a clearer heading. "Unfortunately there hasn't been much progress made in regards to how these storms work, so yeah, all we can do is weather it." He winced. "...do not tell Leo I just made a pun, that was purely unintentional."
