The city was old, dilapidated, its structures not at all familiar to him by way of design from what he could tell. Despite it being considerably warmer than where he had been, the white mage shivered and hunched his shoulders in the travel-worn white leather coat he wore, more off-white than what it started out as for the months of being on the road, traveling on horseback. His clothing had fared only slightly better, a white shirt and tunic, pants, even boots. He wondered if he looked as out of place as he felt.
Still feeling like he was walking through some kind of dream, Cerryl started to look around at the places near what seemed like the town square. The buildings here looked like someone had been making use of them at least, but it was so oddly empty and quiet that he wondered if anyone was around at all.
Spaceship Anyone that came across the young man would probably be able to guess that he had no idea what he was looking at. The ships in the hangar were unlike anything he'd ever seen before. They looked to be entirely metal, and as to what purpose they served, he couldn't begin to guess.
At first Cerryl was rather cautious- more so than usual, about approaching the strange things. His curiosity got the better of him, and it didn't appear that the metal was any sort of iron, which was a relief. He circled one, even going so far as to place a hand upon it after he was certain he wouldn't get burned. The order embodied by the construct wasn't nearly as much as what the blacksmith had poured into his iron toys, and he even detected some amount of chaos intertwined with it. Was it meant to be some sort of building? There were lines that suggested a doorway, but he saw no way to open them.
