He had not been referred to so politely since he arrived, and three months or so was apparently enough that it felt more natural to be called by his name, "Just Altair truly is fine. I won't hurt you for getting familiar. You have my word."

Still, it seemed Vector was from his time, rather than any other. Altair had become so used to being the only one, to having contact only with people from far into the future, that having someone properly recognize him as Sith, it was a little pleasant, as well.

"Though I know the sort of reputation we Sith have. I certainly could not blame you for being apprehensive, either."

Even being met with more hostility or wariness would not have been unexpected.

"And I suppose having a positive outlook will help."

He couldn't help but wonder though, "You're alright here, though? It is my understanding that Killiks and Joiners are always connected... Are you not cut off from them here?"
