Seeing the way Steve's eyes light up when she bends, Katara gives an extra little flourish by freezing parts of the ice into glistening crystals, making the stream look almost draconic with an icy crest running down its back. It feels good to show off a bit, to share her bending with someone who's never seen it before. As preoccupied as she's been with the small matter of saving the world, it's been easy to forget just how fun and satisfying it is to bend for no purpose than the bending itself.

"I use the water to encourage your chi and speed up healing. It's... kind of complicated, and I was more focused on learning to fight, but I know enough to handle some pretty bad injuries." Like Zuko's lightning wound, the big idiot. What was he thinking, jumping in front of her like that? Shaking her head, Katara takes a breath and focuses on the push and pull of the water.

After a moment, she melts it all back down into a steady stream and funnels it into her pouch. "Only waterbenders can heal. I've never heard of any other kind of bender even trying." And frankly, she couldn't imagine it working if they did. If the Air Nomads had any secret healing techniques, Aang didn't seem to know about it.
