Billy stares at the sign for a good long moment before his brows lift in realization. "Wel-come," he mutters, confident that is the one and only mystery he'll be able to solve in this place, so he's feeling pretty good about working it out.
It's a weird mix between charming and just...off enough to be concerning, but he can appreciate the gesture. Or at least, he tries to. They did kidnap him, but- hey look, food.
----------------
LOST AND ALONE
He hadn't even gone out that far, Billy's not sure how he managed to get turned around so fast. He can't hear or see anything that indicates he's going in the right direction, but venturing off some new way seems like the wrong sort of idea, so he presses forward.
A blue glow from his hand acts as a sort of flash light, but even that seems dim, and he jumps at the sound of something moving, freezing up.
----------------
MILES TO GO
Despite how run down everything is, Billy feels wrong about approaching the stores as a means of shelter. Of course, the hotel practically screams 'you-might-get-murdered-here' but beggars can't be chooser, and he's reasons maybe they'll actually be some kind of bed. His magic isn't working so great, the less he has the conjure up the better.
He tries to get handle on the layout, exploring a few floors before finding a room that seems to be more or less empty. Of people or animals that is. What it is full of is debris. Trash, broken furniture, some stuff he doesn't want to examine too closely.
While he's still got a bit of light to work with he tries to clear the worst of it out.
