Player plot details?

Kaz has already spoken with other people about this but it seems to be necessary to have a general plotting post. Would you be okay with a handwaved conversation, Aya? Cal is a lot more friendly than Kaz :V

OOCly this won't happen until January, so there is some time to work out any possible details. Kaz wants to put together a team to explore outside the city limits. I had originally put in for a player plot in July but between then and now there has been a mass drop so there aren't as many characters as there were. I was originally thinking teams of three, but Bear suggested teams of two instead? My idea was that each team go in a different direction on the compass rose and since it is very likely they will be cut off from each other as well as those who are still in the city, those teams will be important.

This plot idea is a work in progress so please don't be shy about input?

I'll have other thoughts I'm sure but for right now to get them out of my body while I have a second:
Teams of two is going to be less logical in character, but more manageable out of character, so it's probably worth doing some suspension of disbelief magic.

There should probably be like a 'home base' coordinator team, so if there are characters that wouldn't be enthusiastic about going out into the woods but you do want to get involved, that's probably the play.

Since you put it on the player plot: do you have some idea of the outcomes? If yes and you're just keeping it a fun mystery, awesome. How is that going to be...distributed? I guess. If no, this might fall apart without direction quickly.

sorry if any of that doesn't make sense I am running aaaah

I meant outcomes as in, do you know what anyone is going to be able to find out there, what obstacles they'll come up against, that kind of thing that the mods would know?

This might take a bit of back and forth, see who else is participating and outline with confidence what the plan is so the mods can come back with some info. It's hard to plan that communication breakdown if we don't know when or why they'll be out of communication range, or if that's not even a problem that would come up before they're all standing on the edge of the world, or whatever.

I'm fine with handwaving since that'd probably be easier. I just tend to get more hung up on doing things more organically. If that's the term, anyway. Cal wouldn't be pushing the selling point too hard though, but he did say he'd talk to people about it.

QUestion though- where would be the starting point? Because if people go in four separate directions, someone is going to end up in the ocean real quick.
