Steven at least wasn't alone in his...aloneness. Billy having his brother here was far from the norm. His cheeks were flushed with guilt, and he was glad Steven had another question for him, even if he didn't have all the answers.

"Um, well sometimes after someone would go home, they'll show up again and they'll have their memories of before. Other times, they'll swear they've never been here. And then there's...um...well where I'm from they call it the multiverse. Different versions of the universe, all playing out. The same faces, some of the same paths. We've had a lot of cross over with that too. Version of people from a world like ours, but...not quite."
