The fountain where you awoke is labeled 0 and the “hotel” where many of you have been taking refuge is 3. Trees and other overgrowth (green) cover most of the buildings but some, as you can see, are relatively easily accessible. Building color denotes height - darker buildings are taller, while lighter buildings are shorter. There are no signs, no writing, and no written materials anywhere that you can find - which may make it a bit difficult to determine what these gutted buildings used to be. There’s also a flooded area in the southwest region of the city - and don’t forget that strange blinking light, off in the distance!

A few OOC notes:

Players may begin posting in the community if you wish, or feel free to continue using the Opening Test Drive meme. You can use the TDM prompts (or any of your own, based on the map) into the main community to build CR until the first event is announced shortly.

Now that the game is open, also feel free to decide with your thread partners whether you’d like any TDM threads to become game canon, if you’d prefer to avoid replaying meet-and-greet threads.

Remember that your character’s initial interactions are going to be face-to-face, until someone figures out (or finds?) some way to communicate across distances. Players can use either action (brackets/smalltext/etc.) or prose format for posts, whichever is preferred. No specific posting format is required.

TRP will have no activity check for the month of August! The first activity check period will begin in September.

We will ultimately be using a tagging system for characters and asking players to tag their posts and posts they reply to with their character’s name. That system is not in place yet so don’t worry about it; we’ll let you know when to start using it, what your tag is, and we’ll retroactively take care of any posts that have been tagged (for player convenience).
