It's finally happened!

During the final days of the storm Beck has enacted his plan to kill Tony Stark at last (thread still in progress). As far as Beck is aware he has been successful and gotten away with it. (Tony has survived and will reveal himself.)
Those closest to Tony should feel free to notice his absence and start trying to piece together what has happened as the event winds down and access to comms returns.
Ideally Bear and I are hoping for this to place out as a dramatic murder investigation, and ultimately I would like Beck to be caught out in his lies. I would prefer no one immediately pieced it together and pinned it on Beck in like the first few minutes or anything, though we should work together to solve the bulk of it within a week or so, so that Bear doesn't have to sit on the sidelines too long <3
So this can be used as a place to plot, to ask questions, etc. as we work together on Temba's first murder investigation/trial, whoo!

When comms are back they would still list tony. Have you two thought of how to address that indication of aliveness?

As far as anyone (but Beck) knows, Tony IS just missing.
Also as far as anyone knows, no one HAS died on this planet yet, to know how different the network would treat that, right? They've only left.
Basically, that's a good question to raise in the murder mystery, is this even a murder.

Unless someone with Comms could make him appear to not exist?
If so, then since Beck is someone who hops around a lot, once the comms came back Beck would panic and go switch to Comms and make him appear gone, which again hopefully could be found out as part of the mystery/could confuse the timeline of things if people think he was out and about later than he actually went missing.

watcha doin with that datapoint huh buddy

but yeah, need a mod weigh in there too
PLOTTING
That said, if nothing really happens this week, Tony will get himself out of his predicament and show up to enact justice for himself. He will be a lot less likely to make how the community deals with bad actors a democratic process. That might create a new problem.

The timing is a little suspect.

is there any way he might try to confirm his suspicions?

will he do this on his own, or with backup

Lark can track missing persons by weaving maps of their locations. She's done it before. It's been spoken about on the network. So has Tony done the previously offered 'carry a spool of thread for a while she could use in emergencies' or would she have permission if it came up to work with his possessions, even a piece of clothing, to try and look into it?
Lark wouldn't do so without suggestion if Tony was no longer listed as 'present' through Comms, because she isn't savvy enough to realize it's been/being tampered with. But it could become a thing, especially since Cayde knows she can do it, and has seen it used to good effect.

Cayde can also get her into the Forge now that Tony's put a fancy door on it, but a lot of his stuff is at the library now, too, which is probably more accessible.

I don't think Tony will notice necessarily, I think Beck's locked him out (??) so he can't just text someone for a ride (idk what the explanation for this is, everyone look at that shiny thing over there), but any security he does have might react. Is there something it could do that could be fun? idk.
He still doesn't really know how to defend against Ghosts, though, so it'll be pretty easy for them to get in and see what the cameras see.
