Gladio's guess is right on the money. Even if his chosen attire said anything but soldier, Link's level of physical fitness and general demeanour - and blade, of course - was definitely that of a trained warrior.

Link nods. And he will, indeed, stay right there until Gladio gets back.

Though he won't spend the entire time sitting still. Eventually he'll get up. Peer curiously into all of the cupboards. Inspect all the various kitchen appliances - a number of which he has never seen before - with fascination.

When Gladio gets back, he'll find Link trying to figure out how to turn the oven on.
