It's not often that Tommy makes it a point to stop when he's on his way to or from somewhere to give some time to a person that is just minding their own business. Or he'd think the guy was minding his own business anyway. He tries not to pry, but there's definitely signs of staggering so he'd maybe been following the man for just a few paces, hoping to quietly see if he was okay without asking. But that whole 'quietly' shtick sorta falls apart when the man opens his mouth and says one important word.

"Listen," he says, going from trailing about five feet behind Calvin to directly at his side in that special sort of instant that only Speedsters can properly experience, "as much as I love blaming people like Cyclops and that whole Summers family for tons of shit that is wrong in the world, sometimes you've got to reserve blame for other people. Like Avengers. Or maybe, if you're feeling particularly excitable, the Fantastic Four. Though in this case, can't chalk it up to any of them."

From here, from this close, he feels like he almost recognizes that face. There's just a niggling little familiarity in the back of his mind, but he can't bring it to the forefront. Makes sense really, seeing as he hadn't bothered maintaining his sorta 'X-Men are cool' mind set after he was, what, twelve years old? Definitely before his own mutation had kicked in. So yeah, remembering all the faces of the older string of mutants wasn't much his thing these days. Leave that to Billy.
