Boba has been resisting thinking of this as a different universe. The concept is too alien, too permanent, and he's already having a hard time with the notion that he's been spontaneously teleported to a different planet. But he understands when the stranger says that certain functions have been locked—functions that would be necessary for any of them to return from whence they came. It makes sense. After all, if the Agrii want to keep them here, then of course they'd sabotage the ships to prevent their escape.
"Has anyone tried to escape before?" Boba asks. "Overriding the locks on the ships or making a workaround?"
Boba is good with ships, but even to him, both tasks sound daunting. Honestly, he's not sure he could do it without help. Still, better to understand what's already been attempted—and by whom.
