Much like Boba is thinking now, the fact that Echo is her brother made him second-guess that assumption. They could have just as easily been a family that lived there as scientists with the other Kaminoans, or they were the ones having their genes replicated to make the clones, or both. But what Boba tells him now blows both of those theories out of the water.
"It's not impossible," Dustin murmurs, mostly to himself. "There are cloning techniques that don't produce identical genetic copies - stem cell cloning to create gametes, for example. She could also not be biologically female, or could be dying her hair." He shrugs. "Plenty of explanations."
