"Yeah. If El or Lucas just ditched me, I would be pretty mad." But that is kind of what she did, emotionally. Max plans to work on that when she gets back.

Kavinsky asks, and Max pauses.

"Well, they were trying when I left. I guess it's only our town, but that's still pretty big." She thinks, at least.

Never mind Blue, Max might not take too well to being called baby doll by someone she just met. Max doesn't push, but her eyes narrow at the sound of the b, bit Kavinsky stops himself, so she'll let it past.

She finally ventures past the flashlight, her curiosity growing as her eyes adjust to the dark.
