But when Max presses about the honesty, his eyes darken as he immediately closes off. Billy doesn’t want to tell her, about the incident from before Susan‘s marriage to his dad.

So he says nothing, a scowl deepening on his face that speaks more volumes than his silence does.

So he waits for her to tell him what happened in the aftermath of the mall, only to be met with anger and hardness and what felt like accusations flung at him. Of course, Billy's riled up now, pacing with the player in hand. It’s tempting to throw the headphones on and stomp out, but Billy doesn’t. He just paces like a caged animal while yelling.
