Fall Test Drive Meme!

TEST DRIVE
Application FAQ | Taken Characters | Reserves | Application
Welcome to the Fall Test Drive for The Revival Project!
For those who do not know, this game is a spin-off from the closed The Drift Fleet game. For more information about what this game is about, please check out the FAQ here or the premise here.
Starting on the 7th, the TDM will be required for all applications. Please view the FAQ for information about how this works. Any questions about the game please direct to the comment section of the FAQ as well.
If you are a Drift Fleet alumni, please label your character as 'DFAU' on your top level so we know. Also, keep in mind you have complete flexibility on how your character comes here. They could be taken before endgame, after endgame, two years after, one year before, etc. It's up to you! The only option not allowed is to completely restart your character (because then it's not DFAU, is it?)
So go! Explore Agra 10! And, as always, HAVE FUN!
Please use either the first event or the previous TDM for prompt ideas!

"Yeah, it's what I get from being Homo superior," Tommy shrugs. They're a whole species thank you very much. "My uncle was a speedster too. My mom is a witch, my grandfather controls electromagnetic fields. It's all cool."

His LED switches from yellow back to blue, as Connor decides to give up on trying to understand this information. He could return to it later, when there weren't more pressing concerns to deal with first.
"My name is Connor. I woke up in this city about half an hour ago." He offers a friendly smile, though it's tight on the edges with worry. "I was wondering how many other people have arrived here in a similar manner."
no subject
He does catch sight of the light and that's definitely something he wants to ask questions about, but then the guy is talking so he's got to let it go.
"Nice to meet you, Connor. I'm Tommy. And I haven't bothered to count actually. Sorry. The math is a bit boring."
no subject
"Then is there someone in charge I can talk to? Please. I can't stay on this planet." A hint of anxiousness is slipping into his tone. "There are important things happening where I come from. If I remain missing, my friend is going to think that something bad happened to me." Friend, singular, because Connor is sure that none of the deviants would particularly miss the ex-deviant hunter in their midst, even if he had done what he could to redeem himself.
no subject
"None of us want to be here, dude. But the Agrii aren't really giving us a choice. I know it's scary, but I guess you're one of us He Rows now. Sorry."
His friend would have to survive without Connor for a while, because Connor was one of their number now. That was just the way the world was working out. Even Billy couldn't get them home, and that was saying something pretty extreme.
no subject
He cuts himself off once he realizes he's just venting, not adding anything important to the conversation. Connor half-turns away from him, crossing his arms over his chest. "I didn't mean to complain. I know that everyone else here is in a similar situation. I just don't like it."
no subject
"You don't have to like it. Most people don't. My twin brother is here, and I would rather he wasn't in danger. He'd be better off home with his fiance. Instead he's here, and we're all here, and all we can do is sorta, you know, do."
no subject
"I understand. I would like to help. My primary mission will be finding a way home, but in the meantime I have abilities that could be of use in a dangerous situation." It wasn't hard to predict what situations could arise in a near-abandoned city. He'd certainly heard the howling of an unfamiliar creature earlier, to say nothing of basic human needs and the potential for other disasters.
"I am a prototype RK800 android, designed for investigation and forensic analysis. I know that's unlikely to be useful here, but I was also programmed with basic combat capabilities. I am stronger and faster than a human, and I don't need to eat or breathe."
no subject
"Oh yeah, you're going to be useful. Can you see in the dark? Because, like, there are whole portions of the day we're not using because of sight issues. And if you're a robot you're good with machines, right? Maybe you could help with the power situation."
And without needing fed.

Then he lowers his hand again, head cocked to one side thoughtfully. "I don't have the knowledge for complicated repairs, but I can interface with compatible technology. I'm not sure if I'll be able to access computer systems that weren't made by humans, but I can try."
Of course, limited power meant limited access to computer systems in the first place. It's as good a reason as any to keep the lights on, aside from safety concerns.
no subject
"You remind me of a late friend of mine. But I think you're going to manage here. Don't let how weird it is scare you, okay?"
no subject
"Yes, I'm sure I will manage, but don't be concerned. I'm not scared. I'm more... concerned about the circumstances."
no subject
"Yeah, circumstances are weird. But come on, saving an alien race is super cool!"
no subject
Thinking of an eventual return home was more calming than considering the alternative, at least.
"But I still want to meet the Agrii, in person. I want to see what they're like."
no subject
"And we might never meet the Agrii."
