Fall Test Drive Meme!

TEST DRIVE
Application FAQ | Taken Characters | Reserves | Application
Welcome to the Fall Test Drive for The Revival Project!
For those who do not know, this game is a spin-off from the closed The Drift Fleet game. For more information about what this game is about, please check out the FAQ here or the premise here.
Starting on the 7th, the TDM will be required for all applications. Please view the FAQ for information about how this works. Any questions about the game please direct to the comment section of the FAQ as well.
If you are a Drift Fleet alumni, please label your character as 'DFAU' on your top level so we know. Also, keep in mind you have complete flexibility on how your character comes here. They could be taken before endgame, after endgame, two years after, one year before, etc. It's up to you! The only option not allowed is to completely restart your character (because then it's not DFAU, is it?)
So go! Explore Agra 10! And, as always, HAVE FUN!
Please use either the first event or the previous TDM for prompt ideas!

I'm gonna guess you two know each other pretty well, [he says, almost with a laugh.] She's still in the same direction. We're going.
[He does keep moving; maybe even picks up the pace, then.] Y'know, it makes me wonder, if people who know each other keep showing up here. Seems intentional.

[ The soft patter of feet picks up the pace to keep up with him, working those small legs a little harder! Her head bobs to show she's listening, probably the only visual cue she gives. ]
Makes sense, I suppose? If they think you can help, then it's likely your friends can too, right?
no subject
I guess it does make sense. I don't know if it makes me feel any better, though.
Come on. Let's go find her, then.
... And then I might want an earth bending demonstration. I've seen her water bend, that shit's impressive.
no subject
[ It's surely better than hers, at least. Not a high bar. Though the smirk on her lips is a decent cause for concern.
Motioning for him to stop, her feet sweep into a wide stance, hands out and palms up. Two brisk motions, as if gathering invisible, earth, then her body lifts, hands jutting out straight up. And so do they.
On a pillar of rock, to be precise. A solid 10 feet wide to give them both plenty of space to stand on, the ground beneath them cracks in an instant, shooting up in an earthy rock column several stories. Hope he's not afraid of heights! ]
Can you spot her from here?
no subject
Well, shit, [he murmurs; no, he's not afraid of heights. That's awe in his voice. He maybe even takes a step or two closer to the edge - once they stop rising, at least. It's a damn good viewpoint up here. The sniper in him, only shallowly buried under the red, white, and blue shield, is pretty pleased.]
I - [He squints, looking for Katara's telltale blue and white clothing, and - ] Yeah. Dunno if she can see us, but I can see her.
[And then, because he's gotta say something.] This is pretty damn swell.
no subject
Only one way to find out-- [ Her hands raise to cup around her lips, taking a deeeeep breath before belting out: ] HEY! K A T A R AAAAA.
[ As loud as she can, waiting for a moment and listening before turning back to him. ]
I don't think she heard me... But yeah, it's pretty neat!
no subject
Yeah, she - doesn't look like she heard. But at least we're goin' in the right direction.
[So that'll help - once they get back on the ground.] So - earth bending is big, but not necessarily stealthy, I'm guessing.
no subject
[ Toph mumbles more to herself than anything else, adjusting her stance and performing something similar to the reverse of her previous bending move, a firm push downwards that lowers the column back to the ground, mostly back into place as if it hadn't moved. ]
I think it's one of the sneakiest, actually! The earth kingdom had an entire organization of earth benders that worked in secret. [ Her smile grows as she explains, another chance to talk up earth bending. ] Compare that to fire or air bending? They're very noticeable!
Want me to show you?
no subject
[He does brace himself again as they start descending; when they're back on the ground, he spends a couple seconds looking at the place where the column had just risen, and he has to admit, it's maybe stealthier than he'd thought.] I didn't realize you could just... put it back, [he says - and then, well, consider him happy to indulge her, because,] Yeah. Yeah, I'd like to see.
[He's only gotten a small demonstration of what Katara can do, so he's always curious to see more.]
no subject
That grin grows into a big ol smirk at his reactions, crossing her arms and turning to face him at least, though her head never bothers to tilt up. One arm raises to point straight at him. ]
Well, looks like you've got a lot to learn, huh?
[ Her tone stays light enough to make it clear she's mostly teasing. Showing off comes easily enough. Her body dips down collecting rock in a fluid motion and letting it form scales along her feet and her hands.]
If it's sneaky you want, the Dai Li used rock gloves and shoes like this! [ And in another martial motion, both of her hands reach out, away from Bucky, 'throwing' the rock gauntlets forward with open hands, only to have them close in on each other in a grasping motion and return to her hands. The motion is quiet, and it's clear how they would have grabbed someone or something had it been there. ] They're strong enough to stop blades, and you can shoot them out too!
[ And again she demonstrates, first shooting each scale individually into the ground, fast enough to embed the stone in the earth... And then again with the entire glove, breaking into the earth by her feet with a solid thunk. ]
And I've been practicing something really cool! Even the other earthbenders can't do it!... Do you have anything metal on you?
((Does Bucky have his shield? If so, toph would love to play with it!))
