Welcome to the Fall Test Drive for The Revival Project!

For those who do not know, this game is a spin-off from the closed The Drift Fleet game. For more information about what this game is about, please check out the FAQ here or the premise here.

Starting on the 7th, the TDM will be required for all applications. Please view the FAQ for information about how this works. Any questions about the game please direct to the comment section of the FAQ as well.

If you are a Drift Fleet alumni, please label your character as 'DFAU' on your top level so we know. Also, keep in mind you have complete flexibility on how your character comes here. They could be taken before endgame, after endgame, two years after, one year before, etc. It's up to you! The only option not allowed is to completely restart your character (because then it's not DFAU, is it?)

Water is good. Water is refreshing. Which is why Tommy shows up to pick up a glass and down it. And when he does that, he pauses. And stares at the guy there also drinking. Is that...? The real Hawkass? Like, not the one they've got here, but the one he helped Kate steal the bow back from? The one who was the second best Hawkeye? Wow. Interesting.

Small world?

"Dude, do I know you? You look familiar. Like an old guy with a bow and an arrow who thinks he could be an awesome person called Hawkeye or something."

Jeez, kid, harsh.

But true, so Clint is more amused than surprised. He rubs at one of the bandages still on his jaw from having the life nearly kicked out of him and tries hard to put a name to this face. Nothing. But he does have a good clue about a vague connection, maybe.

"I'm betting you know Katie?" Because Clint is not the best Hawkeye, she is, and she's not shy about teasing him about it. Often in front of other people.

What do you expect from Quicksilver's nephew? He's made of more sharp edges and corners than polite greetings.

"Bingo. Give the guy a pizza. Mostly so he can feed the dog."

What? He gossips with Kate because she doesn't bother to give him grief for it.

"Good to see ya, Clint. I mean, not that we've actually met. There was that one time that was really close but, well, different sides of the fight. Avengers and Young Avengers don't typically cover the same parts of battles. Except Kate. She could go pro all on her own."

It's a lot to take in at once, especially through the tinny loaned-from-the-hospital hearing aids he's still trying to get used to. In quick succession, the mention of Lucky gets a grin and Clint relaxes from 'man about to fight' to 'man enjoying being tormented by unknown aquaintance'.

There's a touch more confusion about who this guy is, and there's pride that yeah, someone else gets it, she doesn't need a team to lead her like Clint and all the rest do.

But seriously. "I...uh, she's probably mentioned you to me, but..." a motion at his head. "I have a concussion."

He probably still does. He certainly looks like he does.

"Wait- is she here?"

"Oh yeah. I've heard stories. Plenty of them. Like you Robin Hooding arrows."

Which was a while affair and Tommy isn't getting into just how much he knows about the first time Kate had Clint show that trick off to her. How that had gotten her some negative blow back from their team. Stupid people, all of them.

"What did you do, fall on your head or something? Fine. I'll slow down. Tommy Shepherd. Speed. And no, the amazing Kate isn't here, unless she snuck in and I didn't notice her. And if she did, I'm going to pay her back for that."

Damn if he wishes she was here, though. Frankly, he worked better under Kate's leadership than anyone else on their team.

I'll slow down, Tommy says, but Clint can't see the kid being slow for more than a breath. He sorta likes that. Seems like a good thing to have here--if Tommy hadn't showed up Clint would still be picking his way through the buffet.

He's met a handful of people Kate knows, and he's never really fit with them. But the only ones she ever showed him were rich debutantes and even Kate hadn't really liked them, so... This is good. This is a good change of pace.

He shoves his hand out for a shake he probably should've offered earlier. "Good t'meet you, Tommy. Speed." Clint will alternate those two names from now on. "I was going to crash on her couch but since that's out, where does a guy go to sleep? I didn't even see any good viaducts or cardboard boxes."

Futz, maybe he does have a concussion. The weirdness is starting to set in. "Who pushed the magic portal button, man, seriously."

"I can promise it wasn't Billy, because he would have push it back. And Wanda doesn't have that power here," Maybe that other name means more to Clint. Not his fault, of course. The guy was dead when the Young Avengers got started, and it wasn't like they worked with adults much.

But he thinks about the question. What would suit Clint?

"No couches. There's the hotel and the maybe shop places?"

There's a tug of something when Wanda's name comes up, but Clint is quick to shuffle it into the growing mountain of 'too much to think about, too little time'. He's not sure if he's glad she's here or not. Hell, he's not sure if he's glad she doesn't have her powers here or not, either.

What he does know is he doesn't like to be completely alone, and he's not looking for a roommate but an empty building in a place like this sounds like the first step to getting on a serial killer's docket. "Feel like showing a guy around?"

He has a few dozen questions for Speed, too, but he has a feeling if he crosses the line into irritating, the kid is well equipped to give him the finger and be on his way.

So well equipped for getting the fuck out, but slightly nicer than uncle Pietro so he might even stick around with an irritating question or two.

"I mean, why not? Not like I'm going much of anywhere fast. Don't eat the striped meat, or the flower bits. The berries are alcoholic. Just grab a tuber or something, and we'll go tour."
