Rio popped one eye open, and it rolled around in an exaggerated arc, stark white against the squinted hollow beside it while she searched for that more inscrutable question that evidently wasn't coming. Her focus landed on girly's anxious glance, then dropped to the blade before her other eye opened as well. "This?" she asked, waving the knife, sounding incredulous that anyone could get that idea. The slant of her smile wasn't quite so convincing. "This is for pruning the garden," she laughed. "Natural cycles, baby. Opposite of dangerous."
