Replicator Clarification and mini-plot
Hello Revival Projectists,
I am breaking in again one more time. I know that the tunnels and calibrations are underway and the event has been fun! I'm not trying to overwhelm anyone either but I would like to have a good idea on what you all would like to do with this.
I presented to you all already about the replicator. The replicator got broken by Cloud trying to use it. We spoke a bit within that post. But I wanted a more clarifying one and one to better organize what we all would like to do.
1 A| With the replicator being out of commission prior to the storm. Cloud would have wanted to alert people of it. Maybe he never truthfully gets on the network at all due to the evacuation alert from the Agrii.
2 A| I backdate a post with Cloud trying to make an attempt but it gets shortly cut off due to the warning and someone or some people bring it to his attention.
Basically, here’s something for you to think about. The replicator is broken. How would this make your character feel? Does it really affect them? Did they try to go to the replicator to get supplies before going to the bunker? If they do this option, they’ll notice it’s broken. How are they going to deal with that? Are they going to complain about it loudly or not so loudly? Are they going to want to fight about it? They do have their powers in the tunnels. Cloud won't go down easy.
1 B| Option 1 is to try to keep it at full capacity and maybe hope on his next try of requesting it works. This option is for the replicator breaking and/or his request causing it to have a melt down and not make anything. Cloud would take on all the fault of the replicator and would do this option more willingly. Putting it back on the grid seems the lesser of two evils. Since it’s being put back the original way intended. He isn't being further involved in it.
2 B| Option 2 is to have the replicator being on crystal rods, it will have less energy, but it’ll be able to fully run on its own. The replicator power source gets surged. Cloud will be uncomfortable about this option because of what he found out about the crystal rods. Those with the Engineering Datapoint can make the crystal rods and yes there are uncharged rods around but Cloud is not aware of this (yet). So the inner conflict remains of him suggesting this option.
How would all of this make your character feel when getting to this point? What would they bring to the table? Would they want to join in?
What would you want to do?
I'm flexible and open to any options or new ideas.
Please let me know your thoughts? I'm sure mods will come in to answer any additional questions!

-not that the suggestion I OICly posited on the other post with Cayde wouldn't also be put forth, but he's taken no datapoints himself
and doesn't plan toso would leave the technical talk to better-minded people, after trying very hard to look at what's happened and come out of it likely saying 'Yep, that's a mess all right.'Cal will be least likely to put the blame on anyone and be rather concerned about the problem. And maybe a little upset because THEY JUST PUT THIS THING TOGETHER and wonder if maybe they'd gotten some wires crossed that may have compromised the whole thing eventually.
But since BD-1's gotten specs from Risa for the replicator (they had considered the possibility of trying to bring/build one before they found out one had been given to them) it'll be easier to identify the problem areas and maybe work on trying to replace the parts from there. They can consider the surge possibility although I guess it wouldn't be easy to trace the details of it?
I think if it comes to the matter of replacing the power source or keeping it as is, it should come as a vote.

And yeah, overall, once the cat is out of the bag it'll come down to how your character will ultimately feel about it ICly. I want everyone to be involved in someway even if it's just being upset over it just being broken.
