Water supply + greenhouse/farm plotting

Hello everyone! For those of you who don't know me, my name is Ricks and I've had Garak in the game for a couple weeks, give or take. Being the nosy busybody that he is, he's not just going to sit around doing nothing, so he's going to download the agriculture skill into his head and start working on setting up the farm and greenhouse and get it running smoothly. To this effect, I wanted to ask whether there are others in the game interested in joining in those efforts!

To add to this, he's also been interested in fixing the water supply to at least part of the city, if not all. It would make sense to fix the water supply to the main buildings first (like the hotel, the clinic, the farm and greenhouse, etc.) and then slowly fix the supply to the other sections, gradually getting it running completely. I know other people are working on the electricity already, so I thought this could be another important thing to fix, and Garak has the skills and intelligence for it. I've gotten the green light from our mod boss, so for this I'm also looking for anyone interested in joining in!

ICly he would post ads for both these things on the hotel lobby (probably use some kind or rock or charcoal-like residue to write on a piece of fabric), leave his name and his room floor and number so he could be easy to find.

Oh that's excellent! I tried finding out about who might be working on it so I wouldn't step on any toes, but he'd definitely go poke the people there before anything else. Maybe this post will drag out anyone else who's working there so we can have an actual defined group and know who would know who since they'd probably see each other often.

And yes, that was what I was thinking. Provided there are enough people working on it though, it shouldn't take long to have running water on at least the main buildings. :D

This is probably a good idea for getting their attention. I've been away for a bit for a family wedding so I've missed some things.

I'm sitting here sad that Tommy probably won't recognize Garak, but he wouldn't mind working with an alien, because he's pretty used to that. So yeah, having another guy around who can work the greenhouse is great. Especially if Garak can contrive to use his skills to help them make kneepads and/or gloves to make for easier farm work.

Garak is used to having a bunch of aliens around, what is even living with other Cardassians?? He doesn't remember anymore. He's used to having humans roaming about by now, it'll be just like the station (if you ignore that everything is broken and overgrown).

Yesss all this sounds great. Gardeners assemble!
