WINTER TEST DRIVE MEME

WINTER TEST DRIVE MEME
Application FAQ | Taken Characters | Reserves | Application
Welcome to the Current Test Drive for The Revival Project!
This game is a spin-off from the closed The Drift Fleet game. For more information about the game, including more details on the setting, please check out the FAQ here or the premise here.
A thread on the TDM will be required for all applications. Please view the FAQ for information about how this works. Any questions about the game please direct to the comment section of the FAQ as well.
If you are a Drift Fleet alumni bringing your character from the game, please label your character as 'DFAU' on your top level. Also, keep in mind you have complete flexibility on how your character comes here. They could be taken before endgame, after endgame, two years after, one year before, etc. It's up to you! If you want to completely restart your character, they're not considered DFAU anymore and won't need the label.
So go! Explore Agra 10! And, as always, HAVE FUN!
Thread ideas:
Explore the city!
Most of the buildings are run down and have clearly been abandoned for years; fortunately, the water treatment center appears to be working, but power is intermittent and unreliable. What used to be stores or places to live in lies in ruins, but there may still be something to scavenge among the rubble. Do you want to risk a swim in the flooded area that has turned into a deep lake that has yet to be fully explored; or does it draw you to some of the more prominent and partially restored buildings, such as the hotel, the hospital or the amphitheater.
If you are lucky, you might even stumble over The Deep End, the bar located on one of the mid-levels of the tower residences in one of the residence towers. Unfortunately no bright neon signs can lead you there, but it does exist.
Visit the spaceships!
Maybe look around anyway. Or try your hand at some repairs?
Try the network!
There be storms...
Should you step inside the storm, or even get lost in it, it will show ghosts of people you know and those you don't. It drains you of any super-human abilities and tries its best to keep you from getting to its origin. Are you going to try anyways? Or are you going to chase the whispers of people from your past? Maybe you will simply find yourself calling for help or stumble across another lost soul in need of assistance.

Kaz Brekker|| Six of Crows
It had been a rather rude awakening since this was most definitely not where Kaz had gone to sleep. His cane was neatly laid alongside him so his trademark shuffled steps preceded him wherever he went. At first, he took a moment to look at the fountain and trace around the square it was located in, marking it on his mental map. Then the large and mostly transparent building was next, Kaz also mentally marking it on his map. From there he could see a blocky building with what appeared to be a tower attached to it. Making a beeline for the tower the rhythmic sound of Kaz's cane punctuated his steps.
Try the Network
[ Kaz has never seen anything like a smartphone before so the first order of business for him is to take it apart and see how it works. He hasn't gotten that far when it suddenly powers on of its own accord and since the screen is pointed face up, the first view of Kaz on the network is a worm's eye view of a boy with black hair and matching black eyes. He's holding part of the case over the camera in one gloved hand and raises an eyebrow at the phone. ]
It looks like you're glass but now you're a glowing picture?
[ His voice is a rocksalt rasp, as though he gargled with whiskey and broken glass every morning. ]
There be storms
When the wind picked up, Kaz only pulled his coat a bit tighter around him. When the rain started to drizzle, he first tried to ignore it, being a canal rat meant you got used to getting wet. But when both picked up more he ducked inside the hulking remains of a building to wait out the worst of the storm. After he pulled his coat off to shake it out he saw the boy standing across from him and stilled. The boy couldn't be older than 14, his clothes simple and had obviously been patched many times. He had the same dark hair and eyes as Kaz, though he wore a simple floppy hat over that hair.
"...Jordie." said Kaz in almost a whisper.
"How could you let him get away with that?" the ghost of Jordie asked.
Explore~
At a glance he could already tell that this was no one he'd come to know for the time he'd been here, and it was sadly easy to pick out a new face. "Hey," the red-haired teenager called out, raising a hand to wave as he continued forward.

"Your guess is as good as mine. Sure looks like he has somewhere to be, though," he observed as he replied to his friend. It was unusual behavior enough that Cal decided to follow after.

The building looked to be more of the shell of a building than anything else. Kaz had gone toward it because of the tower attached to it, and he intended to use it to look around at the highest possible vantage. It looked like the only access to the tower was a long-defunct elevator. Ignoring everything else, Kaz used his cane first to lever open the hatch at the top of the car, then hooked the head of the cane on the edge and climb onto the top of the car. From there he put the cane through the back of his belt and made his lopsided way up the maintenance ladder on the side of the elevator shaft.
Once he came to the end of the maintenance ladder he paused first to slide the cane out of the back of his belt and onto the edge, then pulled himself over. Once he was up he took a moment to see what strange, new place he had been brought to.

Cal took his time making his way up once it became clear where the newcomer was headed. He didn't want to spook the guy, not that it seemed the other had been terribly worried about his presence. Perhaps he'd received the Agrii's basic rundown of the present circumstances much better than others. Or perhaps he just wanted somewhere high to scream out in frustration. The latter thought made the padawan quietly chuckle to himself, earning him an inquisitive borble from BD-1 as he climbed up the elevator shaft.
