WINTER TEST DRIVE MEME

WINTER TEST DRIVE MEME
Application FAQ | Taken Characters | Reserves | Application
Welcome to the Current Test Drive for The Revival Project!
This game is a spin-off from the closed The Drift Fleet game. For more information about the game, including more details on the setting, please check out the FAQ here or the premise here.
A thread on the TDM will be required for all applications. Please view the FAQ for information about how this works. Any questions about the game please direct to the comment section of the FAQ as well.
If you are a Drift Fleet alumni bringing your character from the game, please label your character as 'DFAU' on your top level. Also, keep in mind you have complete flexibility on how your character comes here. They could be taken before endgame, after endgame, two years after, one year before, etc. It's up to you! If you want to completely restart your character, they're not considered DFAU anymore and won't need the label.
So go! Explore Agra 10! And, as always, HAVE FUN!
Thread ideas:
Explore the city!
Most of the buildings are run down and have clearly been abandoned for years; fortunately, the water treatment center appears to be working, but power is intermittent and unreliable. What used to be stores or places to live in lies in ruins, but there may still be something to scavenge among the rubble. Do you want to risk a swim in the flooded area that has turned into a deep lake that has yet to be fully explored; or does it draw you to some of the more prominent and partially restored buildings, such as the hotel, the hospital or the amphitheater.
If you are lucky, you might even stumble over The Deep End, the bar located on one of the mid-levels of the tower residences in one of the residence towers. Unfortunately no bright neon signs can lead you there, but it does exist.
Visit the spaceships!
Maybe look around anyway. Or try your hand at some repairs?
Try the network!
There be storms...
Should you step inside the storm, or even get lost in it, it will show ghosts of people you know and those you don't. It drains you of any super-human abilities and tries its best to keep you from getting to its origin. Are you going to try anyways? Or are you going to chase the whispers of people from your past? Maybe you will simply find yourself calling for help or stumble across another lost soul in need of assistance.

This seemed to be his life for the foreseeable future though. Cobb wasn't exactly happy about that. He'd worry about Mos Pelgo while here.
"As nice as it is to see you this isn't exactly how I'd hope it would go," he said with a tight smile.

Still, Din's not completely happy about being stuck here. He'd rather be back on his own world. He had a quest to finish after all, even if they sorta did here.
"Same. Figured I'd see you on Tatooine." His helmet tilts. It really is good to see the space cowboy again. He'd wantedtosee his friend again, but not like this. "Wish it was under a better situation." He sighs, helmet tilting down for a moment, before raising again. "How about I show you around." He straightened up, motioning to the city.

He nodded and gestured for Mando to keep leading the way. "Yeah, I'd appreciate a tour around the place. Seems big enough to get lost in if you're not careful."
And there was so much water. Cobb would need a lot of time to process that part of this place.

"It is. The city itself is called Temba. Evidently the Agrii used to live here." Din nods, and leads the way. "Was there a...floating orb? When you woke up?"
no subject
He had been suspicious since the moment he woke up in a strange city in a strange part of the galaxy. It hadn't felt like a good idea to trust a floating orb or anything around him.
"Kept waiting for the bastards who kidnapped me to show up even though I don't remember being kidnapped in the first place." He'd just gone to bed and woken up in this strange place.
no subject
"Don't wait much longer." Din tilts his helm. "The Agrii rarely contact us. Unless they need something from us." Din's tone didn't sound that pleased. He still didn't like the Agrii all that well, or who ever else it was keeping them here, from the last time.
"Main things to watch out for here are the storms." He thinks for a moment. "They're not normal storms. My understanding from the last one that passed. It had...ghosts of people others knew. Could speak and be seen. From what I heard, they didn't say the nicest things."
no subject
"You say storms and I'm guessing you mean the kind with rain." Tatooine had plenty of sandstorms. Cobb could ride those out no trouble. He's never been in a rainstorm though. Desert planet.
He snorts. "Yeah, well, I think I could handle a few insulting rain drops." After what he had been called growing up as a slave? What could a storm do that was worse than that? "But I'll keep an eye on the clouds. And maybe stick close to a trusted partner."
no subject
"Got it. Rain, wind, lightning." Your typical storm. Well. storms outside of Tatooine that is. "I've...so far managed to avoid them. But I've been told they can do other things too."
"I'm sure you can." Din responds, and might be smiling a little under the helmet, as he tilts it a little toward the other man. "Good to have a partner I know I can count on." Really, he's glad to have somebody he actually knows, and trusts here. "There's others here from the same world as us. But...I didn't know them before I was kidnapped."
no subject
"Where are you and the kid staying?" Because obviously Mando was with his kid even if the little womp rat wasn't around right now. He figured the two of them had a place. Maybe he could stay with them until he found his own place.
The two didn't need him imposing on their hospitality.

"There's a hangar with grounded ships in it. We've been staying on one of them." He and Grogu should probably think of looking into finding another place. "Not much, but they got bunks. Hangar's this way." He starts off again. Cobb was welcome to stay long as he needed. Din certainly didn't mind his company.
"I'll warn you. The ships are...I don't know. They only seem to let certain people on each of them."It's hard to believe, but better Cobb knows now. "Long as you're with me though. You should be able to get on the one we're staying on."
no subject
"So, they've got some sort of security." That's what it sounded like to Cobb but again, he didn't know a damn thing about ships or space travel. "Always a chance it decides a Marshal is trustworthy and lets me on without you."
He said it with an easy smile and amused drawl.
