WINTER TEST DRIVE MEME

WINTER TEST DRIVE MEME
Application FAQ | Taken Characters | Reserves | Application
Welcome to the Current Test Drive for The Revival Project!
This game is a spin-off from the closed The Drift Fleet game. For more information about the game, including more details on the setting, please check out the FAQ here or the premise here.
A thread on the TDM will be required for all applications. Please view the FAQ for information about how this works. Any questions about the game please direct to the comment section of the FAQ as well.
If you are a Drift Fleet alumni bringing your character from the game, please label your character as 'DFAU' on your top level. Also, keep in mind you have complete flexibility on how your character comes here. They could be taken before endgame, after endgame, two years after, one year before, etc. It's up to you! If you want to completely restart your character, they're not considered DFAU anymore and won't need the label.
So go! Explore Agra 10! And, as always, HAVE FUN!
Thread ideas:
Explore the city!
Most of the buildings are run down and have clearly been abandoned for years; fortunately, the water treatment center appears to be working, but power is intermittent and unreliable. What used to be stores or places to live in lies in ruins, but there may still be something to scavenge among the rubble. Do you want to risk a swim in the flooded area that has turned into a deep lake that has yet to be fully explored; or does it draw you to some of the more prominent and partially restored buildings, such as the hotel, the hospital or the amphitheater.
If you are lucky, you might even stumble over The Deep End, the bar located on one of the mid-levels of the tower residences in one of the residence towers. Unfortunately no bright neon signs can lead you there, but it does exist.
Visit the spaceships!
Maybe look around anyway. Or try your hand at some repairs?
Try the network!
There be storms...
Should you step inside the storm, or even get lost in it, it will show ghosts of people you know and those you don't. It drains you of any super-human abilities and tries its best to keep you from getting to its origin. Are you going to try anyways? Or are you going to chase the whispers of people from your past? Maybe you will simply find yourself calling for help or stumble across another lost soul in need of assistance.

"Uh. Um. Do you know if there's like... A supermarket somewhere? Or... A pond?" Like he can fish.
"Do you even understand what I'm saying?"
no subject
He just nods. Yes, there is a pond. And yes he can understand you. He turns back to the fish tank, though. The pond fish are gross. He likes these ones better. Choosing one, he reaches up and starts pulling himself up to get access to the top.
no subject
Okay, now he had the choice of helping him get his fish or watching the little kid do a flip into the tank, probably. That made it a lot easier for him to just reach into the tank himself and grab a fish. Or, at least, try to. It flipped and flopped all over the place as Richie tried to hold it and take it out. Finally it escaped and fell onto the floor, making a whole mess.
"Fuck! Fucking...Fuck...fu-" Oh. Right. A child. Maybe. Who knew with mogwai? "Uh. I mean. Frick. Whatever. Uh... There. Fish."
no subject
But, uh, how is a fish on the dirty floor better than getting one himself?
no subject
The fish was still flailing around and Richie was starting to feel bad for it, honestly. It took a second but he managed to get it back in his hand and dropped it back into the tank. A stay of execution, he supposes.
no subject
As Richie deposits the fish back into the tank, Grogu climbs back up. He reaches one hand into the water and a different fish seems to swim backwards for a moment as it's pulled into his hand. Grogu thinks the guy is too distracted by the other fish to notice before he stuffs it into his mouth... But who knows.
no subject
He watches as the fish swims against the little green hand. Watches as the kid seems to summon it to him and then swallow it like there's no issue. And the whole time he's pretty much stopped blinking because what the fuck?!
"Do you..." He finally snaps out of it enough to lean down and look the kid in the eyes. "Are you Charles Xavier's gremlin? Can you just... move shi- stuff with your brain?"
no subject
He blinks, tilting his head and raising his ears. He makes a curious noise. Who's Charles Xavier?
no subject
The head tilt makes Richie assume a question is being asked. He makes a wild guess what it is.
"Uh...What I mean is... You know. You can move things around? With your brain?" He pulls his token out of his pocket and mimes it floating around, complete with "Oooooh" noises.
no subject
Oooohh he gets it. The pantomime is a little ridiculous, but it gets the point across. Grogu nods.
no subject
Richie grins wider and claps his hands together. "Holy shit. A magic gremlin! This is awesome. You're awesome! Okay. Cool. So...like. Do you just use it for stealing fish?"
no subject
Also not a gremlin. Also what is a gremlin?
He tilts his head. Well that's an unusual reaction to him using the Force. Okay. He shakes his head. Nope. There's waaay more to it.
no subject
"How about that fly over here for your pal Richie, huh?" He winks at the kid and points at the bottle in question.
"Eh. You know what? You look like you're young enough to be kicked out for even looking at a bar for too long. Maybe let's not have you touch alcohol, even telepathically."
no subject
no subject
He rolls his eyes but tilts his head a little himself. The Furby was still pretty interesting.
"So. That...floating thing. Can I learn?"
no subject
He seemed to think about the question for a moment. No, he didn't get a strong sense of the Force coming from the man. Finally, he shook his head. No, no he can't learn that.
no subject
"Yeah, I didn't think so. Didn't read Moby Dick as a kid or any of those other books. Tough break."
He sighs and let's the disappointment go as fast as it came.
"Ah well. Just promise to use your powers for good, Gizmo. And don't eat after midnight."
