WINTER TEST DRIVE MEME

WINTER TEST DRIVE MEME
Application FAQ | Taken Characters | Reserves | Application
Welcome to the Current Test Drive for The Revival Project!
This game is a spin-off from the closed The Drift Fleet game. For more information about the game, including more details on the setting, please check out the FAQ here or the premise here.
A thread on the TDM will be required for all applications. Please view the FAQ for information about how this works. Any questions about the game please direct to the comment section of the FAQ as well.
If you are a Drift Fleet alumni bringing your character from the game, please label your character as 'DFAU' on your top level. Also, keep in mind you have complete flexibility on how your character comes here. They could be taken before endgame, after endgame, two years after, one year before, etc. It's up to you! If you want to completely restart your character, they're not considered DFAU anymore and won't need the label.
So go! Explore Agra 10! And, as always, HAVE FUN!
Thread ideas:
Explore the city!
Most of the buildings are run down and have clearly been abandoned for years; fortunately, the water treatment center appears to be working, but power is intermittent and unreliable. What used to be stores or places to live in lies in ruins, but there may still be something to scavenge among the rubble. Do you want to risk a swim in the flooded area that has turned into a deep lake that has yet to be fully explored; or does it draw you to some of the more prominent and partially restored buildings, such as the hotel, the hospital or the amphitheater.
If you are lucky, you might even stumble over The Deep End, the bar located on one of the mid-levels of the tower residences in one of the residence towers. Unfortunately no bright neon signs can lead you there, but it does exist.
Visit the spaceships!
Maybe look around anyway. Or try your hand at some repairs?
Try the network!
There be storms...
Should you step inside the storm, or even get lost in it, it will show ghosts of people you know and those you don't. It drains you of any super-human abilities and tries its best to keep you from getting to its origin. Are you going to try anyways? Or are you going to chase the whispers of people from your past? Maybe you will simply find yourself calling for help or stumble across another lost soul in need of assistance.
More information can be found here.

Re: Hangar
"Obi-Wan? What's going on? Where are we?"
no subject
It was like a long lost friend had come back from the dead. In fact, that’s exactly what it was to him. He had never dared to hope, and yet there she was.
“We’re on Coruscant, actually.”
no subject
Shaking her head, she frowned. "No. That's not possible. I just landed on Mustafar. I can't be on Coruscant." Moving to pull free of his hands, she looked around with a panicked look on her face. "Where is my ship? I have to go."
no subject
“I know this will be confusing,” he says carefully. His mind swimming as it was apparent she had expected to be on Mustafar. Just before...
“Come with me, I’ll do my best to explain.”
no subject
Padme turns back to him and nods. "Alright." She trusts him and if he doesn't think this should be discussed there, she will listen. It pains her. Every cell in her body is screaming for her to find her ship and leave, once again, for Mustafar... But something is telling her to listen. She gestures for him to lead the way.
no subject
Once they were inside and Obi-Wan had made a comfortable spot for her to sit on one of the bunks, he sat across from her.
“This isn’t easy to explain, but we are not in the place or time either of us should be. We have been abducted by a race known as the Atroma.”
no subject
One hand rests on her belly as she sits, an unconscious gesture as she takes comfort in the familiar feel of the lives growing within her. A she listens, she frowns. "The Atroma..." She repeats, softly. "Why do I know that name? I feel like I have knowledge I don't recall ever learning." She pauses, "What do you mean we're not in the time we should be in?" That's impossible... Right?
no subject
“It’s the same with everyone. We all instantly learn the information we need upon arrival.” Well what they think they need at least. There are still many things that they don’t know.
“That is exactly as it sounds. I know it shouldn’t be possible, and yet it is. There are people from our distant future here, and even I am from a point in time different from yours.”
He paused, letting her absorb that before going on. “Normally we would be on a planet called Agra 10, and it is where I arrived a few months ago. However, another race of beings called the Agrii sent us all to Coruscant to learn. Coruscant of the distant past that is.”
no subject
"How distant?"
Then something else struck her and she shook her head, reaching out a hand to take his. "No, no. You said you were from my future. Please. What happens? Is Anakin alright?"
no subject
“Some weeks after you give birth,” he says quietly. Though then as she grips his hand again comes the question he dreaded most. He can’t hide the pain in his eyes even as he looks away.
“Padme...”
How can he tell her? How can he say that he fought the father of her children and left him for dead on Mustafar?
no subject
She squeezes his hand, worry filling her face as dread fills her heart. "Obi-Wan... tell me. Please."
no subject
Taking in a breath he finally turned his gaze toward her. Not sure where to start or his to say it. The Jedi who do often had the right words was falling short. Thus he only managed to get out a few in a slightly trembling voice.
“He’s gone, Padme.”
no subject
But Obi-Wan wouldn't lie to her. Not about that. The tears fell freely and her face crumbled. Her other arm protectively held her belly while she sobbed. She'd been too late. She must have been. Whether he was dead or lost to the Dark Side, he was lost to her. That mean everything she'd ever loved was gone. The Republic, Democracy, Anakin... what else was there but her children, now? To make things even worse, she wasn't even in her own time... What was she going to do?
no subject
“I’m so sorry,” he says softly, brokenly. The same words he had spoken when she saw him last. Not knowing that he had stowed away on her ship to follow her there.
no subject
Taking another breath, she nods, pulling on the years of practice schooling her fact to shield her emotions as Amidala. "Thank you... thank you for telling me. That can't have been easy."
no subject
He didn’t deserve her gratitude.
But he reached out and placed his hand on hers again. Wanting to at least show his support of her even if she would quite possibly never forgive him if she knew the whole truth.
“I’m here for you, Padme. Whatever you might need.”
no subject
She squeezed his hand, tugging it a little to try to get him to move and sit next to her. "Right now, more than anything, I need a friend."
no subject
So he got up and carefully sat next to her. Putting his arm around his friend’s small shoulders.
“Of course,” he says softly, pulling her close in an embrace.
no subject
"Thank you, Obi-Wan. I'm glad you're here."
no subject
Glad to see her alive and unharmed. Even though it broke his heart to tell her about Anakin, it was good to be with a friend again. So he let her rest her head on his shoulder. Deciding to just stay here with her as long as she needed.
