ezra_of_lothal: (Ezra thoughtful by recadreuse)

"Yeah. And you're definitely Luke," Ezra replies, a little more quiet and serious, too, as he studies Luke's presence in the Force. This full grown adult doesn't feel exactly the same as the infant of a few months old, of course.

But there's something distinct about Skywalkers, once you're looking, Ezra thinks. It's hard to be sure, with years between now and when he'd last come across Vader muddying his memories, but he suspects even the icy Dark of the Sith's aura didn't completely hide it.

And Luke does not feel obviously Dark, so that's good.

He breaks into another smile. "Sorry, that was weird, wasn't it? Let's see, facts about me that might clear things up. A starting place to get there, anyway. I was born on the first Empire Day. I'm 18. When I was 17, I met Master Kenobi. I'd...kinda screwed up in a way I thought put him in danger," he admits, sheepishly. "And I wanted to make it right. Protect him if I could. He told me it wasn't my responsibility and sent me back home. And it turned out he really didn't need my help. My master - my first master - and the rest of my family were just glad I came back to them in one piece. When I got here, I was pretty surprised to come across Master Kenobi. Only he looked younger. More like a recording I'd seen of him, from about the time I was born."
