There's anger there, in his saber hand clenching, but mostly he sounds heartbroken.
He has met so many people who loved Anakin Skywalker, and having done so, believes that surely he was once a good man. But he doesn't understand how Anakin could hurt all the people who loved him so horribly.
Ezra lets out a breath, opens his eyes and comes to sit by Luke. Takes another slow breath, trying to smooth down his emotions.
"Time is funny here. Almost like a vision," he says softly, gaze darting sideways towards the other Jedi. "It seems to go: Your past is your past...unless something is messing with memories. But the future of people here and the pasts of others don't always match up. That future might not happen to the Obi-wan here and now."
The corner of his mouth turns up. "I can hope, anyway."
