Maybe he thought together we could learn something relatively safely; he didn't really explain. We came away with the holocron. But lots of things went wrong on that mission - Vader followed us to there, for one thing. We believed he'd killed Ahsoka. Kanan was injured and blinded, and struggling with that. I was angry, guilty, and grieving, but felt like I had to step up and protect people even more, since Kanan couldn't for a while. Quick and easy was right there and tempting. Kanan and the rest of our family snapped me out of that spiral."
