Hello! I'm Nic.

I'm bringing with me one Joseph Kavinsky (commonly referred to as just Kavinsky) from The Raven Cycle book series. He's coming from moments before his untimely demise (at his own hands, I might add). To sum him up in a single word, he's a jerk. He's not 100% a bad guy though and he thrives when he has friends because he's eternally lonely.

He's also a Dreamer, which means he takes things from his head. He's got a few limitations here in-game but honestly, he'll be pretty content dreaming up drugs and other shit like that, so.

Let's see, what else. I'm looking forward to playing with everybody and getting this boy (he's 18, for the curious) some friends, enemies, and everything in between.

He used to be a drug dealer and a forger, so he might try to pick that up again, here.

It would be my vote too. Tommy's been too responsible lately.

Tommy doesn't tend to take 'pulling guns on' very well. There's a decent chance that he'd just either move out of the way or disarm Kav, depending on your pref if it ever happens.

Even Kavinsky being angry and troublesome wouldn't stop Lark. She's just that mothery

To be fair, K usually doesn't pull guns on people ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Just when he finds himself somewhere weird and far from home for the first time.

I'm not sure if that would frustrate him or win her points. Probably both, because he appreciates it when someone's hard to push away. Means they can put up with him.

Hello welcome! I am Bear, and this is Iron Man, and I think Kavinsky is on the same ship as him! He doesn't love magic and will be weird about it, but as an addict in recovery himself he might recognize that addiction? Depends on how you actually want to handle it lmao its so cavalier in his permissions

Hello and thank you!! Kavinsky is well aware of how most people view magic. I figure it's why his dad tried to kill him, soooo. Also, they are indeed on the same ship!

Also, I haven't decided how I want to handle K's addiction yet. On the one hand, he'd be perfectly happy to carry on the way he is, but on the other hand, a clean, healthy K would be /chef's kiss?? Someone would have to make a really good argument about why he should kick the habit though.

Sliiiiides in here just to say that at some point Ronan will probably try and talk K out of the drugs. At least so they're more recreational instead of constant.

Probably something about how they're Dreamers, why dream yourself drugs when you can just dream how you want to feel?

K might actually listen to Ronan. He has more of a chance at talking K out of his addiction than anyone else does, at least.

I keep daydreaming about a healthier K now. There are so many references to how skinny he is and I'm like 'this is from the drugs, isn't it'. And I just. Healthier K, yes, do want.

He will probably at least make an attempt to see if he can help, at the least.

And gosh, I know, right? Ronan will do his best to try and help with that, at least. See if he can encourage him toward less drugs and more food, etc. He doesn't have the fear about dreamers being born to die yet, but K is the first trace he has of someone that's like him.

So I think he'll try and temper the worst of his self-destruction, if he can. :3

K's never had a positive influence in his life. He might dig his heels in at first, but he might also be inclined to change for Ronan. Because all he's wanted is for Ronan to care (and, you know, be at his side).

He also just desperately needs someone to save him from himself. K's his own worst enemy.

Yeah, and at this point Ronan actually has the emotional resiliency to put in the effort. In later canon he's too caught up in his own self-destruction and borderline addictions to even consider it ... or even really notice it as a problem.

But here Ronan's pretty much already decided that K is worth caring about, and knows that if he was falling he'd want someone to catch him. So he'll try and do what he can, which oughta be interesting.

Hey, I'm Lis and I play Ezra Bridger, one of the other 18 year olds in the game right now! Ezra's also a Jedi aka pretty psychic (even more weird dreams and visions than most Jedi in canon) and from a different sort of rough background, although he's lucked out with chosen family in the last handful of years.

I'm pretty canon blind and I honestly don't know what Kavinsky and Ezra would make of each other. My initial thought is Kavinsky sounds a lot like the sort of person Ezra hard core avoided when he was an orphaned street kid and I don't think he'll have much immediate sympathy for hedonism as an escape.

That doesn't preclude Ezra choosing compassion and trying to make a friend or help somehow, anyway! I look forward to finding out IC.

Hello! Oooh, he might be able to sense that there's something different about K then. K's never had any canon interactions with psychics but I imagine a lot of what applies to Ronan applies to K and if Ronan's psychically loud, K must be, too.

'Orphaned street kid' sounds exactly like someone K would want to take under his wing. Like, he's a jerk but that doesn't stop him from trying to surround himself with people, especially those who've been less fortunate in some way. Buuut he also has a knack for rubbing people the wrong way ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ so we'll see what happens ICly.

Ezra just adopts people left and right, given a reason and chance to. In canon, he explicitly called the people who take him his family, many times, and here in game all the Jedi and some of the other Star Wars characters are family now for various reasons, no take backs.

That said, he doesn't have many peers really close to his age, at home or here.

Kavinsky would be super interested in making friends close to his own age, since that's what he's used to back home (he wouldn't turn down friends of any age though, ofc). Canonly he has his 'pack of dogs' which is how his close friends are referred to (they're also referred to as his family once). tl;dr K likes being the leader and the alpha.

So long as someone's patient, they can probably become friends with him.

I'm also canon blind to yours but I love horror stuff, so. K would be the most weirded out if anyone showed up in his dreams because literally no one ever has except the one time he shared a dream with Ronan. Because Dreamer's dreams are special and can only be entered by other Dreamers or psychics or, in cross canon I guess, people with the ability to enter dreams.

Also, from my brief browsing of the critters page I love the mothcats so much and my first thought upon seeing them was 'K needs one of these'.

Luckily the dream invasion isn't a conscious thing and has rather specific requirements as it's baaaaasically a curse Jon can't control. Or couldn't. His powers have shifted with the apocalypse he summoned and people didn't really sleep anymore? So it never came up again and I tend to discourage this outcome since it's not pleasant for anyone involved.

But he has experience with dreams and watching the recurring nightmares of others on an eternal loop.

As for mothcats... Come to the library! Get flocked by several of them because they refuse to leave the place 8D
