"Don't know what I'm gonna call her," Cobb said as he lifted the edge of his bandana to show off the little green fire lizard hiding under the fabric as she clung to his shoulder. "We don't have green things on Tatooine."

He hadn't expected the little egg he found to hatch into a little winged lizard. He hadn't expected the warmth that filled his chest when he looked at her the first time. She was a pet but... more.

"I was thinking Sneak? She likes to hide." He mused as he rubbed a finger across the top of her nose.

"Sneak seems fitting." Din says in agreement as he looks at the small greenlizard with wings. Din's own, could almost be invisible, if he didn't move around so much. Being nearly the same brown color as Din's flight suit. Din hadn't expected the eggs he and Grogu found, to hatch either. But there had been no denying who the little brown wanted. Decisive of his choice straight out of the shell. Even if there was plenty of squawking and protesting in the beginning, the little brown getting annoyed at the lack of purchase on the smooth armor. But he's found ways.

"Been calling him Haamyc. Means unusual." Which, let's be real. The winged lizards are pretty unusual compared to most creatures. But there's a warmth in the tone of the name, that Din usually only uses for Grogu's. Said little brown chirps at the green, from where he's wrapped around Din's elbow.

"There are stories of krayt dragons with wings. Can't be that unusual." Cobb very gently scoops the little green lizard from under his bandana and holds her out towards the other lizard.

She curls up real small for a minute before stretching her neck out and sniffing towards the other of her kind. That seems to relax her a little bit.

"Haamyc," he tries out the Mandalorian word with his accent making his pronunciation a little rough.

"We should be lucky ours didn't fly." Wouldn't that have been a debacle? The thing was hard enough to fight. The whole fight would have gone a whole lot different, if the krayt could fly.

"Pretty shy, isn't she?" He asks, as he watches the small creature. The brown extends his neck, as he sniffs back at the green.

"Haamyc, yes." Din says in response, giving a nod. A little humor filtering in. Cobb was trying, and getting better.

"If it flew you could've just used your ship to blast it out of the sky," he said with a little chuckle. It would've gone much quicker for them and required a little less planning.

Then again, it wouldn't have been a few days that heavily changed Cobb's life. "She is. Seems to be happier watchin' things where people can't see her. But she's also real sweet. Brought me a very shiny rock the other day."

He rubbed a finger gently down Sneak's spine which made her trill happily. "You feel things from yours? Like I swear she's not talkin' at me but feelin' at me?"

"As I first offered to do." He remarks back, remembering his first suggestion. That quickly got shot down, because it wouldn't have worked. "Would've been a lot simpler, though." A lot less people lost, and a lot faster. They certainly wouldn't be where they are now, if it wasn't for those days. He wouldn't have stayed nearly as long.

"Yeah, it's...feels strange. It's taking getting used to." He wonders if this is how the Jedi feel 'talking' in each other's heads at the time. "Wish mine was sweet. Feel like I'm dealing with another kid with him." Or as close to a kid as a....pet could get. "He's got energy and knows what he wants, or wants to do. Even if it's wrong." As if to prove this, the little brown seems to make a quick decision, and leaps from where he was, to Cobb's outstretched hand, to get closer to to the green.

"Whoa, hey!" Din's quick to snatch the brown back, who gives a protesting squawk. "No, no doing that."

Sneak let out a startled squeak and reared back, wings extended to make herself bigger for a moment. Then she seemed to fold in on herself as she climbed up Cobb's arm and borrowed under his bandana again. Her whirling yellow eyes could be seen just peeking out.

"Easy, easy. He probably just wants to play." Cobb rubbed his hand over her little form under the cloth. "You gotta relax. No one here is gonna hurt you. Especially not Din."

Cobb tried to give some of his calm to poor Sneak. She was real easy to unsettle. "Maybe I should get her some armor. Might make her feel more safe."
