+1 Elf

Hello fellow kids, I'm Xi and I'm bringing my skittish mess of an elf Lerith here! He's an OC based in the Dragon Age Inquisition game (canon point: attack on Haven). I hope some of you have your hands ready because he's a mute that depends primarily on ASL, but then resorts to writing (well, here typing) to communicate.

You can find me over at [plurk.com profile] plantations for ooc comms.

I look forward to having him interact with you guys here! <3

Hello, welcome, I am Bear! I actually have Paul on the TDM--sorry he's been slow, I still haven't worked out what's going on with him.

Here and ready, though, is Tony! I'm not sure these two will have much in common, but he's very talkative regardless and does understand sign language. How different their sign languages could be might cause some interesting chaos.

Besides that, what are you here for, what are you most excited about, what can we do, etc?!

Heeey! Welcome aboard! It has been forever and a half since I've played Dragon Age but all the same, look forward to bouncing my guys off of elfie! I think at least one of my chars should be able to sign. This'll be fun!

Oh right- I'm Aya, and I play Cayde-6 and Lord Felwinter from that shooty Destiny game thingy, and Cal Kestis and Omega from Star Wars things.
deal_me_in: (Then I shot that guy)

Cal's from the Jedi: Fallen Order game, and Omega's from the Bad Batch series. I think Omega would pick up really well if Lerith tries teaching her. She'd definitely be the most eager to learn, too.

I see a log. I'mma attack it.

Welcome to our little place!

I'm Zet, I play Jonathan Sims aka The Archivist from the Magnus Archives Horror Podcast. He's more an audio person, obviously, but since he canonically knows everything is bound to know sign language as well. So. There is that. You may assume his texting speed is that of an elderly person.

Hope you have fun here!
beholding_archivist: (Sure. Go on.)

I mean, there is the fun part with the difference between knowing something and understanding it. Hence while Jon *knows* sign language, he's by no means experienced at using it. Basically he's the avatar of an eldritch entity that hoards ALL THE KNOWLEDGE, yet at the same time is said to be the unwisest of the Fears since it literally understands nothing of all the stuff it knows. It's good fun.

But eldritch horrors aside, Jon tends to be harmless and genuinely tries to help where he can by gathering information at what used to be the library of the city while trying not to prey on anyone's fears and secrets. Visit the library and meet the mothcats that live there now and have adopted Jon! No books, only mothcats.
beholding_archivist: Do not take. Thanks. (Well if you say so...)

...the library of the alien species that has never developed/needed any form of written speech. But the Agrii at least try to emulate human written language every once in a while with debatable success.
