Who needs Sword and Board class builds when you can have Sword or Board? What, this wasn’t a question that anyone needed answered by Churby? Well why didn’t someone warn me about that before? Anyway, Churby back, with another big, beefy, strong as hell royal bodyguard. I guess I’m developing a type. Except unlike Lauri-Ell, the gentleman I bring you is way more fun-loving and eager and capable of fitting in with the world.
I give to you Gladiolus Amicitia (though you can call him Gladio). Enjoy some really awesome images of him.
Gladio is from FFXV but I warn you, I’m not taking him from standard canon, I’m taking him from one of the two Canon AUs. In this case it’s specifically from the DLC AU, and not the Book one. So there are spoilers not only for the end of the game, but for that specific DLC and its results too.
Yes, I’m being vague in regards to a five year old game’s plot and the interesting things done to it by a four year old DLC. You can’t stop me.
Anyway, given I know there could be those who might not want spoilers, I’ll definitely accept opt-outs or requests to keep you as canon-blind as possible. What’s important is that Gladio is here, he’s a born and bred body guard and warrior, he’s lived a lot of his life as a monster hunter, and while he’s definitely going to be spending plenty of his time giving Noctis a hard time, guy’s friendly as hell and going to want to get to know people and do reckless shit with them in the name of saving the world. He’s done it once, what’s a second time on a new world?
Also, if you’re a shipmate on the Bloodsport don’t be surprised if Gladio comes looking you up. Can’t help it. Dude is always scooping out the people he’s gotta work with.
