Let's Go Hunting!
Okay all, as you may remember, Gladio reached out to the network a bit ago about people to go hunting. And I got lost in other things. But now I'm back and I'm checking in on interest. Here's the plan. This is a really small, just general hunting thing, so it's not going to need mod permissions but we should talk about planning this.
So, let's talk. First comment on this will be a 'Check in if you're interested'. Then comments to talk out what we want? Treat it like a mini player event. No one is obligated to interact with anyone else but Gladio if they want. I sorta just want him and others bringing back some nice meat to end the winter with.
And yes, handwaved involvement is cool too.
Edit: I'll be backdating the hunt to occur during part of the Ren Faire. Don't wanna bump into the event for March.
Oh, and to add, the game does have rules about serious injury/death, so if you wanna verge into that for your character, remember to reply to Injuries and Deaths for Agrii intervention of anything that is REALLY bad levels.

Gladio Plotting
Here's my thoughts. Gladio absolutely wants to go after one of the giant bunnyboars in Sh'Ka. So that's the target. Keith has told him a tiny bit about how to track them, but dude is NOT the greatest tracker. He IS a good plotter, though, so he'll be trying to arrange the following:
-Going ahead with a forward team (with a tent) to find a base to serve for hunting purposes. He'd probably one 1 person to join him on the forward team (preference given to Bull if the player is still interested). They would start by setting up a place for the hunting team, and future hunts to operate from. Low impact site, probably in a mostly surviving building.
-Tracking/Scouting to try and find the likely target area. This could be either Gladio and 1 to 2 others, or even him delegating to a two person team who would scout the area, preferably from the trees, and call the rest of the hunting group down.
-Distraction Team AKA HP Tanks and Kites. This would be Gladio's main focus in the fight. He'd want to work with 1 to 2 other people to serve as the main visual threats, holding the attention of the boar while others take it down. Not that Gladio and this team won't be doing damage, but their point will be to stick to the front of the thing's face to try and keep the tucks, teeth, and charges directed at themselves. These would need to be big, durable people, or quick people who could dodge out of the way. Idea of this thread would be Gladio and other person(s) doing all sorts of dodging and attacks, with assumed combat from the actual 'take down' team.
-Take Down Team AKA Damage Dealers/Final Blow. This would be the secondary team. They could be handwaved, they could be threaded. Or they could end up running into their own trouble and be responsible for taking down a second, perhaps smaller Bunny Boar or some other threat. Because why have things go well?
Basically, if all of this, in a general sense, sounds good, we could split up the interested parties and put them into their own threads under a single header. I'd liken it to the Agrii ship stuff, but only Keith's player of the previous interest group has been through that before, so yeah, right over heads.
Anyway, what it would be would be a Log post that would have a TL for the Forward Team to work under, one for the Tracking/Scouting team, and one or two for the fight, depending on if there is enough for the Take Down team to want to exist and/or get up to their own shenanigans.
(and also in general anyone could do other TLs under this like 'here's a thing from the Agrii seeing a dude with a cane going hunting and offering him a hunting vest or something' or 'here's a person no one expected showing up and helping some group'
All told I would expect the whole thing to take 2 to 3 days out in Sh'Ka to Set-Up, Recon, Take Down so the characters would want to be around for at least two of those days, and then maybe longer to help with the butcher and transfer of meats for preservation/use. Gladio's intended method of getting things back is to load the hold of his ship, the Cake Dance. People giving him ideas on good transportation that doesn't mean he has to hand scrub the hold after will be a bonus. And hey, if someone else is a pilot, they could even fly in the follow up crew the second day after Gladio and his other Forward Team member send an ok to join them.

The Plans In Play
Current Plans
Forward Team
-Gladio and Bull
Team's purpose will be to head out on the Flygood on the Evening of Day 1 of the expedition. Their duty will be finding a place to set up for everyone else to strike from. They will be setting up on the lower, open levels of the Civics Center (Sh'Ka 4). This will be the rendezvous point for the rest of the team
Scouting Team
-Yelena and Keith (Plus Kosmo)
Team's purpose is to head out from the camp on Day 2 and search the Overgrown Forest (Sh'Ka 15) and Corridor (Sh'Ka 14) for signs of the bunnyboars. They would be trying to figure out if there are Bunnyboar in the area (there are) and where they frequent. They can also help determine a good point to set up an ambush. They can also help direct the hunt teams to finding the pray on the day of the hunt [Day 3] and I could even suggest that maybe they manage to take down a juvenile bunnyboar if they are confident in a good, quick fight, or driving off other members of the sound (group name for boars)
Distraction Team
-Gladio and Rey
Team's purpose is to keep the eyes of the primary target (and any other boar that might be around before being driven off) on them. The combination of big weapons, lots of flashy light, and of course Force powers, should hopefully keep the tusks, teeth, and charges focused on them. Ultimately these two will get in some combat, but could be fun to try and drive off a second boar at the same time, to keep their teammates safe.
Take Down Team
-Noctis, Iron Bull (Some of all of Scouting might join if the players are all okay with it)
Team purpose is to ultimately take the beast down. Biggest damage dealers, trying to keep attention to flanks and back. Would be the ones getting to have the 'final blow', and can feel free to suggest they are harried by other, smaller bunnyboar if they really want.
Timeline
Day 1
-Gladio and Bull arrive on Flygood in evening, set up camp
Day 2
-Other members arrive, either on ships or by train, make way to forward camp.
-Scouts go out to confirm that prey exists and work on figuring out where to direct the team. (ultimate answer will be Overgrown Forest)
-Everyone can socialize by the camp that night
Day 3
-Teams set out on hunt
-Scouting team pinpoints targets for final run
-Distraction Team does initial engagement to open approach of others, provides focus for the ire of the Bunnyboar, to keep it from turning to go after their teammates
-Take Down Team joins the fight and ultimately defeats the Bunnyboar
-(Optional) Scout team either joins fight with Take down [with take down team player permission] or, if they want more to do, take down a smaller beast
-Teams work together to patch each other up afterward and those willing to help with it start the butchering process
Day 4
-Transportation of the full take back to the ships [someone who knows them may suggest summoning Reeve to freeze the meat with magic, or Tommy to help with hauling]
-All members returning to Temba do so
So, does all of this sound good? If so I can set up a post for all of this either tonight or tomorrow. My major intention was just general points with the groups so that they have options to improv of course, but they will absolutely achieve their general purpose so the players don't have to monitor across various groups to make sure they can do things. All teams WILL achieve their specific general goal, but can run into complications and resolve these on their own.
If it's good, we can start plotting comments in here too for the teams so teams can confirm any plans of their own. Please reply to the comment BELOW THIS ONE to confirm if this is okay. I want to be able to edit this if plans need changed.
General Plans Response
This is also a good place to note if anyone would know/want to call on Tommy or Reeve for day four things (which do not need tagged unless people want it).
As a reminder, when this log goes up, it will have a header for each team, and then other people can make their own starters as well if they have other tangential things. The Thread headers offered would be the following:

Also Rey can transport anyone who needs transporting in the Starduck she also doesn’t care if meat gets all over the upholstery it’s weird having such a pretty ship
