Alright, based on responses so far here's my proposed team split up. Let me know if you like the looks of these. Teams would have the option to play out or handwave their threads, based on what they feel they can handle. But each team would have a general 'major plot point' to hit as their main 'goal'. And for help reference, our map of Sh'Ka
Forward Team -Gladio and Bull
Team's purpose will be to head out on the Flygood on the Evening of Day 1 of the expedition. Their duty will be finding a place to set up for everyone else to strike from. They will be setting up on the lower, open levels of the Civics Center (Sh'Ka 4). This will be the rendezvous point for the rest of the team
Scouting Team -Yelena and Keith (Plus Kosmo)
Team's purpose is to head out from the camp on Day 2 and search the Overgrown Forest (Sh'Ka 15) and Corridor (Sh'Ka 14) for signs of the bunnyboars. They would be trying to figure out if there are Bunnyboar in the area (there are) and where they frequent. They can also help determine a good point to set up an ambush. They can also help direct the hunt teams to finding the pray on the day of the hunt [Day 3] and I could even suggest that maybe they manage to take down a juvenile bunnyboar if they are confident in a good, quick fight, or driving off other members of the sound (group name for boars)
Distraction Team -Gladio and Rey
Team's purpose is to keep the eyes of the primary target (and any other boar that might be around before being driven off) on them. The combination of big weapons, lots of flashy light, and of course Force powers, should hopefully keep the tusks, teeth, and charges focused on them. Ultimately these two will get in some combat, but could be fun to try and drive off a second boar at the same time, to keep their teammates safe.
Take Down Team -Noctis, Iron Bull (Some of all of Scouting might join if the players are all okay with it)
Team purpose is to ultimately take the beast down. Biggest damage dealers, trying to keep attention to flanks and back. Would be the ones getting to have the 'final blow', and can feel free to suggest they are harried by other, smaller bunnyboar if they really want.
Timeline Day 1 -Gladio and Bull arrive on Flygood in evening, set up camp
Day 2 -Other members arrive, either on ships or by train, make way to forward camp. -Scouts go out to confirm that prey exists and work on figuring out where to direct the team. (ultimate answer will be Overgrown Forest) -Everyone can socialize by the camp that night
Day 3 -Teams set out on hunt -Scouting team pinpoints targets for final run -Distraction Team does initial engagement to open approach of others, provides focus for the ire of the Bunnyboar, to keep it from turning to go after their teammates -Take Down Team joins the fight and ultimately defeats the Bunnyboar -(Optional) Scout team either joins fight with Take down [with take down team player permission] or, if they want more to do, take down a smaller beast -Teams work together to patch each other up afterward and those willing to help with it start the butchering process
Day 4 -Transportation of the full take back to the ships [someone who knows them may suggest summoning Reeve to freeze the meat with magic, or Tommy to help with hauling] -All members returning to Temba do so
So, does all of this sound good? If so I can set up a post for all of this either tonight or tomorrow. My major intention was just general points with the groups so that they have options to improv of course, but they will absolutely achieve their general purpose so the players don't have to monitor across various groups to make sure they can do things. All teams WILL achieve their specific general goal, but can run into complications and resolve these on their own.
