June OOC Announcements - AC Results and Future Of AC Talk
Starting this month there will be a minor change in how monthly announcements take place. First one to go out will be your OOC Announcements, which will focus on AC results and reminders, of course the (usually OOC) AC Amusement Bonus, and any other important back end announcements. This will be labeled as OOC Announcements and will cover important things the mods need to tell you about game structure, tasks we might be working on, and things like that. The second post will be your June IC Announcements, which will include any information about changes going on in setting (seasonal changes, new fun things to play with, etc), pending events (event drop dates, hints on what events will be, etc), and anything else we figure will be important to note IC, including reminders in a general sense if we see something getting forgotten a lot (like that Agra 10 has a 30 hour day). We also encourage our players to see this IC Announcements post as a way to plot/plan related to events, player plots, or just general exploration/life on Temba. So, with that news out of the way, let's get on with your June OOC Announcements.
✧ ACTIVITY RESULTS ✧
The May Activity Check is completed. We thank everyone who turned in your AC in a timely manner and give a round of applause to everyone for a great Calibrations Month.
As always we would remind players that if you run into some unforeseen barrier to completing your AC, please drop a line to Mod Churby by Private Messaging the
doubled_speed account, on discord (Churby#4290), or on Plurk
churbooseanon. You can also send a message directly to the
trpmods account. Please do not send messages in the game chat or other mods without CCing Churby, as they are the primary chronicler of AC at this juncture.
If you're looking for your monthly silliness for AC, see the comments below. There's nothing game related this time, but we did find a wonderful glass bottle generator. Why glass bottles? Because we figure anyone in calibrations could use something to store their booze, or tears in. That said these are not canon gifts, though I suppose if your character is particularly inspired they could talk to the replicator.

✧ MINOR NOTES ✧
There are three minor announcements for this month other than the division of how announcements will work in the future.
First is a note that the calendar of events has had a small change in what was expected for the summer. Due to circumstances the July and August plans will be swapped, so July will be an event, and August will be a plot adjacent event.
Second is a note to players new and old regarding Plurk and Discord. We would like to remind our players that not all of our members use Plurk, just as not all of our players use Discord. Because of this we very much encourage people, when plotting for game events, setting up player plots and adventures, and otherwise planning, consider using our OOC community to give a space that all players can access for talk. We will be looking into doing a regular CR Meme in the future to help with plotting in these ways and to help you reach out to new characters/people, but this is still in progress. As a side note: anyone who does wish to join the game discord should do so by messaging the
trpmods account. Please do not ask other players for invites, we like to be aware of who is being brought in.
Third and finally, we very much love your memeing energy, and encourage our players to keep sharing their meme ideas for play and other sorts of fun. Anyone who wishes always has the option of messaging the
trpmods or
trpmememods account to post these on your behalf to prevent you from getting your inbox swamped. And if you don't want to do that, that's also cool!
✧ AC CHANGES POLL ✧
On this one, we've got to apologize on the delay. Some factors came up and it took a while for us to finish processing the input we were given and create the final, formal language for our potential new AC forms. In the end we cut down to four different options, and we will ask you to choose which one you like the most, the second most, and the least. We are doing this because we feel this will give us a better reflection of what players actually will be happy with seeing here.
Players will have until the end of the month to vote, and we ask that you vote only once each. Not once per character account, but once per player. If you vote with multiple characters, we will take your most recently submitted answer as your final one. We also require you to vote in ALL THREE QUESTIONS.
Results will be announced in July (or late June if the poll is at any point answered by all current members of our community), and in all cases but Option 1, the soonest the new AC system will take effect is for the August AC period. If it's Option 1 (which is just an updated form of what we do now), then it will change over immediately.
All options being voted upon will be in reply to the second mod comment below, in their full final text. The only exception is that the specific forms of Bonus Point System for Options 3 and 4. We have yet to finalize this and will not do so unless one of these systems is chosen/implemented.
Finally, please be aware that while players can SEE the number of votes in the poll, the way they will be tallied will ultimately be by hand due to chances of repeat votes, and how we will apply value to each different option.

Option 1: Continuing System
Additional Notes: All content in the main community can be counted toward AC, even if started in a previous month. IC inboxes and TDM threads can be used for a single thread, and the second thread must come from the main community.
Strikes and Sweeps
Applying for Extra Characters
All players are welcome to apply for a third character provided they have made AC for their current characters for at least three months. To apply for additional characters beyond this, players should contact the mod team at
Option 2: Ten Plus Comments System
Additional Notes: Comments for AC may still be taken from character inboxes and TDM threads, however at least four must be in the game community. Mods will also monitor to make sure all AC for a character/player does not come from the same people every month. If we have a concern, we will reach out.

Option 3: Simplified AC
Additional Notes: Comments must be taken only from the games community. We do still encourage players to engage the TDM and character inboxes, but activity can only be drawn from in game community threads.
Strikes and Sweeps
Applying for Extra Characters
No additional AC is required to apply for a new character. Instead a player can apply for up to three characters to start, then an additional character every two months with a hard cap of six characters. No one may exceed six characters at a time.
Bonus Point System
A Bonus Point System would be implemented. This would encourage additional activity through methods to gain rewards for characters. Details to be shared once finalized.
Option 4: Month In Review
Additional Notes:
Please keep your AC summary SFW and free of excessively graphic descriptions that could be triggering. Players will be asked to provide a link to their most recent AC during CR related memes, and the monthly link will be shared with the State of the Game post.
Hiatuses
Hiatuses still work with the character not currently present on Temba, though their information will still show up in communicator information and ship logs. Players do not need to do more than post their hiatus to the appropriate page. However we do as (but do not require) that if a character was present at all during the hiatus month players consider giving an abbreviated version of what their character was doing during the time they were present.

Activity Check Rewards!
These will not have in game presence or repercussions, they are just for fun. As always, these have been generated only for those characters that were part of the game in time for May to be considered their first AC period. Any character accepted late in the month will not be listed.
