[For a moment there, Sonic had thought that maybe he'd caught sight of a fuzzy little person like himself out of the corner of his eye while he was out exploring some totally safe abandoned buildings, but upon closer inspection, it seems like he's missed whoever he'd seen. Bummer, maybe it was just some of the weird local wildlife that he hadn't come across yet. At least that's what he's thinking when he hears the faint shifting of debris behind him, followed by the roar of what he assumes is some kind of hungry alien animal thing. I mean technically he's not too far off the mark. If you think about it, everyone here is alien to this world! Right? Sure, whatever.

Thankfully for Sonic, he's more than quick enough to avoid getting murked. As soon as his ears perk up to the sounds behind him, he's zipped out of the way and hopped up onto a near by chunk of rubble. Well, that sure is some kinda lion that just tried to chomp him. Sonic's not even sure if he can understand him, but he's going to run his mouth anyway. It's kind of his thing.]
