Welcome to May. It's time for our monthly IC announcements.

✧ MAY SETTING CHANGES ✧

April was a pleasant month, and it's almost like May saw that, looked at April, and said 'why are you so damn soft'. Starting at about the tenth of May the rains will start. They won't come with energy storms, just the regular sort happening on and off, but when they are on they are on in sheets and for long periods of time. The ground will get a bit soggy and muddy in areas, but all in all, it will actually be sort of pleasant comparatively. When it isn't raining the sun will be warm and welcoming, trying to dry up the dampness everywhere. THe increased moisture will lead to some more vigorous plant growth, but no signs of the dangerous mutations from last year.

In other (good?) news, Funfronds are becoming more readily visible around Temba, and Barrys more common in Sh'Ka. The two species might be starting to warm up to the He Rows just a little, and with their greater activity comes some changes. Plants will be far healthier this year, even in the greenhouse, and He Rows operating on a heavily fruit and vegetable diet may find themselves more energized than normal. The other side of it is that the local animal population that lives in Temba itself also seem to be benefiting, which means that the predators in turn were also a lot stronger. Hopefully that goes well for you.

Near the very end of the month the rain will taper off. That's a relief. However there will be a minor rumble in the ground. Probably just that creature that made the quakes a few years back rolling over or something. But maybe someone should check in on it.

✧ RECENT STORY SUMMARY ✧

The last month and change has been a rather lively one on Agra-10, and we're here to help you catch up with what's been going on. The Agrii have been doing a lot to bring in some all new friends for He Rows to work with. Seems like they're continuing their reaching out for young people to help bring some energy to the planet. Or younger. They even seem to have brought back an old friend and given a He Row a brief trip home and back. All in all it means that the cities are a bit more lively lately, with so many new people to bring new energy to a still suffering world.

Meanwhile there was some undeniable fuss in April with the arrival of real monsters!. A set of four giants appeared in Temba and started wrecking things. He Rows banded together into teams to take out the Dreadful Dragonful, the Disasterous Deerclops, the Baleful Bearger, and a Moose/Goose. There was definitely some conflict within the teams at times, but selfies were also taken, so maybe that balances out all of the conflict. Who needs difficult moral questions when there are selfies and loot? Clearly it's fine.

Meanwhile, research into the history of the planet continue. Previously Dustin and Gladio set about a task together to further test out Dustin's synthetic Funfrond spores. As He Rows might have heard in the past, Dustin learned from the local Temba Funfronds that the plant attacks last summer had to do with the storms corrupting non-native plants, something the local plant-people try and control. With the guidance of the Funfronds he created the synthetic spores that he can sometimes be seen spreading around Temba. With Gladio the plan is evolving, with the two attempting to create a system that will allow them to use one of the ships as something like a crop duster to try and minimize risk of crazy plants happening again.

Sources say that the relatively newly arrived Donatello has decided to further the botany aspect of the research. He Rows should know that samples of plants have been taken from the greenhouse and planted instead in the ruins of Blue 4. The goal of the new project is to test the effects storms and other natural factors have on what has been determined to be the invasive plants of the Temba Greenhouse. A control group has also been taken aboard the Twin Roses for study. Hopefully he'll be able to relay new information in the future.

Finally, Dustin is continuing the communication part of his research with the Sh'Ka Barry population. While this technically took place in March, information is still forthcoming, including references to other plant-kin races, as well as discussions of Barry history, which include the founding of Sh'Ka. Surely this will help provide a final answer on the age of the cities, how they came to be, and what that might mean for all of Agra-10. Or maybe it won't prove to be important at all, and nothing he learns will be relevant in the coming months...

Please remember, we encourage players to make use of the comments here for plotting for the month if they would like to. We are aware that not all of our players use any single form of social media, so this space is yours to talk together.
