"There's a place people refer to as the 'alien target' and there is a machine called a replicator that will make things for you a certain number of times each month," Tae explains as she carefully cleans the wounds. Nothing that looks like it really needs a proper bandaging though.

"But there was this sports day thing a few months back, and I used the points I built up to buy clothes."

A lot of clothes. Some for work, some not. Listen, Tae was a clothes horse. Not much of it really goes with the whole cheerleader vibe of course. Her stuff is more punk than that, but she can offer something to the newcomer. What she's wearing can't be comfortable full time.

"I've been here a bit, but I'm a properly trained doctor back home. I have my degrees and credentials from a very lofty university in Tokyo. Even have my own practice and work in medical research. So the good news is that I really can tell you that I don't think an infection is likely. If you have any other concerns I can address those as well."
