[Event] The Surface and Unlocked Knowledge
Mod Churby Note: My apologies for how late this is. Things got complicated.
An End to Storms?
Slowly but surely exploration teams filter back to the safe area of the Warrens where their companions await. They have been on their quests, they have seen systems shut down or destroyed. Their actions may provoke hope, or may have left destruction in their wake. In the hands of each successful party rests a small device. More information is the hope. Answers to the storms, or to the Agrii, or who knows what.
A bit after the exploration teams the first crew returns. They have seen things. Learned things. And hopefully they have achieved one of the core tasks that He Rows have had before them since the first day they set foot upon Agra-10. There is a chance that the storms might end now. Perhaps just as importantly, they return with a Smooolsher down a few charges, a large machine disabled, and a device that will enable them to read the smaller devices brought back by the other teams.
Now all that needs to happen is a decoding.
Good thing the He Rows have a lot of spare time while they wait for the Wanderkin and the other Plantkin to announce that travel back to the surface is safe. All it takes is time and the work of the Communications He Rows.
And oh, the information you learn.
So a new set of questions might arise in He Rows. A new realization that, quite possibly, the best way you can help the Agrii isn't by following their wills. But do you really wish to ignore their desires? What is the best path going forward? Surely the He Rows will need to work together to figure out just what their future goals in regards to the Agrii should be.
Then, at long last, almost a month after heading into the Warrens, the news comes. The Wanderer returns amid many dancing Funfronds with news. The storm at the surface has diminished. It flickers and fades, the creatures it woke melting back into the dirt and mud they seemed to awaken from. Already snow begins to fall upon the surface, and there is safety to be had there once more. The Wanderer offers to guide He Rows back to the surface, but conveys for the Funfronds that the Warrens will remain accessible to them from now on. They will always have shelter among the little ones. All that is asked is that He Rows avoid the Warrens during the autumn of every third year, as this is the sporing time, and the elder Funfronds and their new sprouts need the space then. Allowing them the space this year was a unique allowance and made the sporing Funfronds nervous.
As warned, upon returning to the mines and then the surface, Temba is colder now. There is a layer of dirt and dust and mud over many places that the prior zombies were around, so cleaning is going to be needed. But otherwise the city is once more the domain of the He Rows for the passage of the winter. The Wanderkin itself wanders off toward the greenhouse, no doubt seeking some place warm to pass its winter as it continues to study the culture of the He Rows.
Winter will be a slow and quiet thing, with nothing more than standard snow. It falls and builds up in mounds and banks. The snow clearing droids return from wherever they went into hiding at the end of last winter, and the city streets and paths are cleared. This might well be the most peaceful winter any He Row has seen in Temba. At least for now. After all, there should be no more storms, right?
Take the free time you have, snuggle up with some warmth, and prepare for what you know is coming next. New Tick approaches and the Agrii like to force festiveness upon you. Though maybe if you want your gifts you might not want to debate with the Agrii over the future until after you've gotten them.

Translated Data Reports from Exploration Teams
Which probably explains a lot about these lower levels and the origin of the storms. You did, after all, disrupt devices that seemed to create and propagate the storms. Why wouldn't that be connected to the Drift Fleet that benefited from them and the race that created the vile and manipulative show?
Once translation is performed it will take specialists to look over the contents to fully understand the meaning of them. Thankfully it becomes clear extremely quickly what specializations are required to break into the deeper parts of the files. Though the information, once shared, pieces together into a whole new picture that may reshape the He Rows' very understanding of Agra-10 and what is going on.
Security
Fleet ship Gilded Cypress encountered disabled ship. Crew dispatched for rescue mission. Discovered ship contained species OBA-241, known to be aggressive and hostile. Battle ensued. Majority of crew unprepared for conflict in attempt to assist stranded ship. Many lost. Ratings hit anticipated. Remaining crew withdrew.
Acquisitions ship deployed as follow-up. Individuals of Species OBA-241 sedated through use of droid deployment of sedative gas. Moved individuals into containment pods on acquisitions ship for return. Approximately three hundred individuals secured, many of acceptable levels of health. Security droids will monitor on trip to support world MLXIV-4.
Medical
At request of security details further research has been done in methods of cribbing the violent tendencies of species OBA-241 due to increased level of security droid destruction by species. In addition aggression levels inherent to species seem to inhibit progression of retraining team. Given species OBA-241's distrust of medical procedures when not sedated, determined best means of behavior alteration would be through supplements added to one of three sources: social dynamic pools, moisture retention salves, or nutrition deployments.
Initial experimentations performed upon most aggressive Fleet agents through a variety of supplements. Found that absorption rate through epidermis via salves are most desirable, as they are quick to enter the biological systems. However ensuring regular application became difficult, and discovered most promising blend washes off easily in regular hygiene practices.
Compounds refined and then added to species OBA-241's social dynamic pools. Discovered that this led to overapplication of compounds. Members of species OBA-241 who pass more than recommended period of time in pools became lethargic and listless, and were they not an aquatic species, limited individuals may have been lost. In addition it was found that some 'social outcast' or recently combative members of species avoided pools due to social structures. These are members who most require application of attitude control, and receive it least.
Third compound made that was oil soluble and placed in measured amounts in paste dispensers on three fleet ships. Each ship had quantas placed in different dispenser 'flavor' based on which was most consumed by most aggressive members of crew. Application thereby became regular based upon biological need to feed. Calming effect produced on all ships by any who consumed of the appropriate paste. It was observed that members of ship crews noted that the supplemented nutrition dispenser had begun to taste more like the 'peanut butter' variant provided on ships.
Testing of supplements in feed of species OBA-241 currently ongoing. So far results seem promising. Suggest reducing dosage in primary paste dispenser and adding it as a synthesized chemical to cooking oils, and especially adding to sodium-chloride supplies as the species requires and is drawn to the mineral due to evolution in high salinity environments. Minimal concerns over 'taste' issue, as if all foods and preparation components are impregnated with the compound they will inherently adjust and just perceive it as a standard element to 'flavor'.
Communication
Put briefly, they are stubborn. Retraining programs have had to be rewritten 87 times at point of this report. Their aggressive tendencies are so powerful that even low threat simulations used on prior species retraining have proven ineffective and conflict provoking. Further delays are created whenever biochemical specialists, biologists, and medical focused workers insist upon rousing a member of species OBA-241 from statis to perform examinations or experiments. Last request of this led to destruction of multiple security bots. Destruction did not even require a weapon in their hand, though bot arms were used as flails after the first one fell.
Attempting new reprogram of stasis reprogramming simulations. Again. Uncertain that species OBA-241 is viable for reconditioning into extras role, even if it is believed seeing them rendered complacent and needy will boost ratings. This may be a waste of resources.
However team does not want to be bested by an inferior species. Especially not a biological one. We will succeed. We just need more time. And perhaps some manner of reducing their levels of aggression outside of simulations.
Engineering
Conversion of original climate reshaping systems of MLXIV-4 proceeding behind schedule. Construction drones having no issues with the retrofit into the geothermal power systems or implementation of new programming subroutines. Nor are there issues with the surface level construction of the model city for base deployment of species OBA-241 Scenarios 1-27. Power systems are functional, work to comforts proceeding, and redeployment of resources from model city used for prior deployment of species OBD-730 has been smooth.
The greatest delay has been in the creation and implementation of the MLXIV-4 Containment System for applications of eventual scenario OBA-241-EDC91-O1. As the system is meant to double as secondary containment for violent outbursts of species OBA-241, refinement to necessary parameters to merely pain without causing death has been hard to narrow down. Especially lacking sufficient test subjects.
Worse still is the continued incursion of the local flora. Just as with the initial terraforming processes recorded in past records. As with before the things get everywhere. Suggest use of control via geothermal release vents, or at the very least, herbicides. Having their presence in the access corridors is a problem that inhibits the droids and bots in their work. They have even found evidence of cuts and scrapes in the access corridors that seem to result from cutting via our own advanced alloys, which should be impossible.
How certain are we that there is no intelligence and agency in the local flora?
Please send a botanist from the surface support team to study these incursions so we can complete our work in a timely manner.
