Summer Test Drive Meme!

Welcome to the Current Test Drive for The Revival Project!

This game is a spin-off from the closed The Drift Fleet game. For more information about the game, including more details on the setting, please check out the FAQ here or the premise here.

A thread on the TDM will be required for all applications. Please view the FAQ for information about how this works. Any questions about the game please direct to the comment section of the FAQ as well.

If you are a Drift Fleet alumni bringing your character from the game, please label your character as 'DFAU' on your top level. Also, keep in mind you have complete flexibility on how your character comes here. They could be taken before endgame, after endgame, two years after, one year before, etc. It's up to you! If you want to completely restart your character, they're not considered DFAU anymore and won't need the label.

So go! Explore Agra 10! And, as always, HAVE FUN!

Thread ideas:

- Explore the city! There's a map here and a bit more description of some of the buildings here. Most of the buildings are run down and have clearly been abandoned for years; fortunately, the water treatment center appears to be working, but power is intermittent and unreliable. The hotel seems to be the most crowded, but you might want into what appears to be an abandoned storefront and find someone else scavenging or even sleeping.

- There are spaceships! That's right, there are currently several small spaceships grounded in the hangar. They appear to have power, but only one ship will let you enter. (For test drive purposes, the ship that will let you enter is up to you, so just pick whichever name appeals, and go for it!) The other ships won't open for you, but it might be worth poking around the one that will...

- Do you hear a storm? A giant, power-altering storm has been ravaging part of the planet for a month. It shows ghosts of people you know and those you don't. It drains you of any super-human abilities and tries its best to keep you from getting to its origin. Are you going to try anyways? Or are you going to chase the whispers of people from your past? More information can be found here.

- Can you hear me now? Upon arrival, your character will have on their person a small, handheld communications device. Maybe they know exactly how to use a computer, smartphone, or tablet, and immediately blast out a text or video trying to figure out what's going on. Or maybe they're not so tech-savvy after all, and everyone is about to get a lovely shot right up your character's left nostril.

- Wildcard! You're welcome to use any previous test drive scenarios or previous game events as a basis for a thread/situation, or simply make up your own! Keep in mind that you're currently stranded on a planet with only basic necessities, but there is enough food and fresh water. Creature comforts, however, seem to be distinctly lacking...

blightcaller: (Champion of the Banshee Queen)

"Curious. But don't worry. I'm not too worried. I can revive them as you have seen. Or simply tame others." Nathanos replies in a minimally bemused tone, the two bugs behind him clicking at one another in what may or may not be worry, antennae flicking about even as the undead makes a short, one-handed gesture without raising his hand much, causing both bugs to seemingly vanish. "But I can do them this favor for now and summon them again when needed."

Now with neither of his two pets around, Nathanos puts his free hand on his hip and casts his grim glare on the hunter before him. "Well then. Tell me who you are - And if you have heard of any members of either the Alliance or the Horde to be present on this world."

Because that's usually how it goes, right? Some heroes are pulled into another world and he gets to pick up after them.

"Oh I hope not. Your two just means I missed some in the last sweep. I'll have to do better," the Exo grins. He quirks a brow again as the bugs both vanish then but he figures that works too. Also slightly annoying, having a guy able to bring back dead things. At least that can't apply to burnt things, right?

"That's a two-fer but since it's easy, I'll give it to you," he replies, shrugging. "Me? I'm Cayde-Six. As to any alliances or horde, I'm gonna say no as I assume those are with capital A's and H's. 'specially ain't seen anyone looking similar to your pretty face."

Now he's just messing around. "All right, my turn. Who and what are you?" Seems he's not afraid to beat around the bush, but beings who bring back bugs from the dead are not something to be brushed off.

It's okay, Cayde. He can really only revive his own pets. Though he is pretty pleased that the first critters he came across have already proven to be disliked by the population of this place.

The response he receives gets a raised eyebrow in return, but no real reaction to the little jab Cayde adds at the end.

"Nathanos Blightcaller." He replies, instead. That would be the who. As for the what... Well. "I am a member of the Forsaken. The undead of Azeroth that broke free of the Lich King's hold and fought for their freedom." There is a certain pride in those words, before he turns them around. "What about you?"

Well, it's either bugs, squirrel things or glownies. So far the pickings for local critters has been a bit slim.

Cayde folds his arms, his jaw quirking as he mouths 'Blightcaller', seeming amused. Now there's a name if ever there was one. "Forsaken, undead, huh? Iiiinteresting," he says, stroking his chin with a gloved hand. Well, that means they're two undead guys, technically. Cayde would still think he's better looking.

"I'm an Exo, Guardian and Hunter Vanguard of the Last City." He feels like he needs to add in a title. Exos don't really have a whole lot to add onto it, and explaining them just seems tedious.

"So you're the Agrii's latest 'he-row' acquisition, eh?" he muses, bringing his hands up to fold his fingers into quotes with the whole hero business. "Your first time bein' offworld outside of home?"
