This game is a spin-off from the closed The Drift Fleet game. For more information about the game, including more details on the setting, please check out the FAQ here or the premise here.

A thread on the TDM will be required for all applications. Please view the FAQ for information about how this works. Any questions about the game please direct to the comment section of the FAQ as well.

If you are a Drift Fleet alumni bringing your character from the game, please label your character as 'DFAU' on your top level. Also, keep in mind you have complete flexibility on how your character comes here. They could be taken before endgame, after endgame, two years after, one year before, etc. It's up to you! If you want to completely restart your character, they're not considered DFAU anymore and won't need the label.

Hot Summer Time!

Summer has arrived and you know what that means: It's time to head out and spend some time at the beach, lounging on its bluish, almost purple sand, going for a swim or gathering some of the fat, green lobsters just wandering around the beach. They may be tasty, but remember that their pinch is toxic. It won’t kill you but it will definitely have the pinched body part swelling up and itching like a bad wool sweater.

If hunting for food isn't what you came here for, then sunbathing is always an option. Even if the color seems odd, this sand, also, likes to go literally everywhere.

Simply hopping into the water is also rarely a bad idea. This close to the coast there are no harmful creatures in the water, so whether you brought a swim suit, hop in fully clothed or have no care in the world about who might stumble over you naked, Agra 10's ocean is yours to play in.

Explore the city!

Here's a map and a bit more description of some of the buildings here.

Most of the buildings are run down and have clearly been abandoned for years; fortunately, the water treatment center appears to be working, but power is intermittent and unreliable. What used to be stores or places to live in lies in ruins, but there may still be something to scavenge among the rubble. Do you want to risk a swim in the flooded area that has turned into a deep lake that has yet to be fully explored; or does it draw you to some of the more prominent and partially restored buildings, such as the hotel, the hospital or the amphitheater.

If you are lucky, you might even stumble over The Deep End, the bar located on one of the mid-levels of the tower residences in one of the residence towers. Unfortunately no bright neon signs can lead you there, but it does exist.

Visit the spaceships!

That's right, there are currently several small spaceships grounded in the hangar - Or what remains of them. It's painfully obvious that these ships have crash-landed not too long ago and were taken back to the hangar for repairs. You were assigned to one of them and its doors will open for you and let you enter if you wish. (For test drive purposes, the ship that will let you enter is up to you, so just pick whichever name appeals, and go for it!) The other ships won't open for you, but as neither of them look as if they will be leaving anytime soon that doesn't really matter either way.

Maybe look around anyway. Or try your hand at some repairs?

Try the network!

Upon arrival, your character will have on their person a small, handheld communications device. Maybe they know exactly how to use a computer, smartphone, or tablet, and immediately blast out a text or video trying to figure out what's going on. Or maybe they're not so tech-savvy after all, and everyone is about to get a lovely shot right up your character's left nostril.

There be storms...

These power-altering storms keep ravaging parts of the planet every once in a while. No one truly knows where they come from or what to do about them yet, but one of them appears to be approaching. You have the option to find shelter in one of the buildings to wait for it to pass. Unless, of course, you rather feel drawn to investigate.

Should you step inside the storm, or even get lost in it, it will show ghosts of people you know and those you don't. It drains you of any super-human abilities and tries its best to keep you from getting to its origin. Are you going to try anyways? Or are you going to chase the whispers of people from your past? Maybe you will simply find yourself calling for help or stumble across another lost soul in need of assistance.

Wildcard!

You're welcome to use any previous test drive scenarios or previous game events as a basis for a thread/situation, or simply make up your own! Keep in mind that you're currently stranded on a planet with only basic necessities, but there is enough food and fresh water. Creature comforts, however, seem to be distinctly lacking. Quite unlike a gathering of potentially dangerous creatures to encounter. The setting is yours to explore and have fun with!

"You can't catch up," Tommy promises. "And if you managed to wander out here I'd worry you won't know how to get back."

"You might have a point there." Noctis started before he felt a tug on his line. And then his attention went straight to the fishing pole, moving it this way and that. The fish then jumped out of the water, but the king managed to keep it on the line.

Half of him worried that the line might snap as it had so many times in the past, but with a bit of patience and know how he was able to pull the fish in. And after a little bit, he reached down and pulled it out of the water.

It didn't look much different than the fish back home, but he looked at Tommy. "I don't know..but can we eat this guy?"

It wasn't poisonous, right?

Tommy moved close after watching everything. He considers it, tilting his head, before nodding. Yeah. He reaches out to take the fish away.

"We can. I think I know how to batter it up."

When Tommy grabbed the fish, Noctis considered his fishing time to be over. Playtime was over even in this new place. He half wondered if it was an afterlife, but everything seemed real enough to qualify as real life. None of the kings of Yore had told him anything, Luna was nowhere to be found and neither was Ardyn.

So he nodded to Tommy. "Alright, let's get going then."

Dude, play later. Eat now.

He considered the fish and then sighed.

"You're going to be slow, Fishy, aren't you?"

"Slow?" Noctis asked. It half occurred to him to warp but he didn't feel like it right now because mostly he felt drained and tired. Usually that was something a good night's sleep could cure but still half wondered if the dead could sleep. And if he went to sleep, would he be back in the beyond?

He shrugged, although he knew the youthful him would've been far more game to show off. "For now."

Someone was going ot have to tell the guy that he wasn't dead.

"That sucks," Tommy sighs, rolling his eyes. "I'm gonna head back to the diner and start cooking. Or get it ready to cook."

"I'll go back with you." Noct offered. To his surprise he couldn't dismiss the pole, but it was okay, he'd had his powers sealed before. And maybe that was somehow a condition of being dead but there was a doubt in his mind about that theory.

"Yeah, except you'll take forever," Tommy countered, rolling his eyes. He really hated snail paces when he was hungry.

"Fine, I'll go slow, show you there."

"You can go, and I'll catch up." Noct offered. "Wouldn't wanna hold ya up or anything." He didn't feel up to warp striking at this particular moment. But if the youth wanted to go, the king wasn't going to try to hold anyone back.

He was still used to people wanting to wait for him though. However, ten years had really been pushing it.

"Everyone holds me up always. Come on, we'll hoof it the normal way.

Noctis smiled and started walking back. He wasn't in a hurry because it was still something to realize he was back to the world of living.
