This game is a spin-off from the closed The Drift Fleet game. For more information about the game, including more details on the setting, please check out the FAQ here or the premise here.

A thread on the TDM will be required for all applications. Please view the FAQ for information about how this works. Any questions about the game please direct to the comment section of the FAQ as well.

If you are a Drift Fleet alumni bringing your character from the game, please label your character as 'DFAU' on your top level. Also, keep in mind you have complete flexibility on how your character comes here. They could be taken before endgame, after endgame, two years after, one year before, etc. It's up to you! If you want to completely restart your character, they're not considered DFAU anymore and won't need the label.

Hot Summer Time!

Summer has arrived and you know what that means: It's time to head out and spend some time at the beach, lounging on its bluish, almost purple sand, going for a swim or gathering some of the fat, green lobsters just wandering around the beach. They may be tasty, but remember that their pinch is toxic. It won’t kill you but it will definitely have the pinched body part swelling up and itching like a bad wool sweater.

If hunting for food isn't what you came here for, then sunbathing is always an option. Even if the color seems odd, this sand, also, likes to go literally everywhere.

Simply hopping into the water is also rarely a bad idea. This close to the coast there are no harmful creatures in the water, so whether you brought a swim suit, hop in fully clothed or have no care in the world about who might stumble over you naked, Agra 10's ocean is yours to play in.

Explore the city!

Here's a map and a bit more description of some of the buildings here.

Most of the buildings are run down and have clearly been abandoned for years; fortunately, the water treatment center appears to be working, but power is intermittent and unreliable. What used to be stores or places to live in lies in ruins, but there may still be something to scavenge among the rubble. Do you want to risk a swim in the flooded area that has turned into a deep lake that has yet to be fully explored; or does it draw you to some of the more prominent and partially restored buildings, such as the hotel, the hospital or the amphitheater.

If you are lucky, you might even stumble over The Deep End, the bar located on one of the mid-levels of the tower residences in one of the residence towers. Unfortunately no bright neon signs can lead you there, but it does exist.

Visit the spaceships!

That's right, there are currently several small spaceships grounded in the hangar - Or what remains of them. It's painfully obvious that these ships have crash-landed not too long ago and were taken back to the hangar for repairs. You were assigned to one of them and its doors will open for you and let you enter if you wish. (For test drive purposes, the ship that will let you enter is up to you, so just pick whichever name appeals, and go for it!) The other ships won't open for you, but as neither of them look as if they will be leaving anytime soon that doesn't really matter either way.

Maybe look around anyway. Or try your hand at some repairs?

Try the network!

Upon arrival, your character will have on their person a small, handheld communications device. Maybe they know exactly how to use a computer, smartphone, or tablet, and immediately blast out a text or video trying to figure out what's going on. Or maybe they're not so tech-savvy after all, and everyone is about to get a lovely shot right up your character's left nostril.

There be storms...

These power-altering storms keep ravaging parts of the planet every once in a while. No one truly knows where they come from or what to do about them yet, but one of them appears to be approaching. You have the option to find shelter in one of the buildings to wait for it to pass. Unless, of course, you rather feel drawn to investigate.

Should you step inside the storm, or even get lost in it, it will show ghosts of people you know and those you don't. It drains you of any super-human abilities and tries its best to keep you from getting to its origin. Are you going to try anyways? Or are you going to chase the whispers of people from your past? Maybe you will simply find yourself calling for help or stumble across another lost soul in need of assistance.

Wildcard!

You're welcome to use any previous test drive scenarios or previous game events as a basis for a thread/situation, or simply make up your own! Keep in mind that you're currently stranded on a planet with only basic necessities, but there is enough food and fresh water. Creature comforts, however, seem to be distinctly lacking. Quite unlike a gathering of potentially dangerous creatures to encounter. The setting is yours to explore and have fun with!

There was a myriad of emotions that quickly shifted across her face before buried back beneath. Her eyes shift, looking to her, although Gamora couldn't say that she was familiar with this woman. That didn't mean that she wasn't familiar with her.

"It is." Guarded, as these things did tend to go one of two ways. She couldn't blame the hostility, given that she had been known for her ties to Thanos, but she had cut those ties.

She smiles, giving the woman a nod. No hostility, here. She knows that Gamora had no love for Thanos. In fact, she respected her a great deal given what she'd heard.

"I'm Natasha. Rocket told me about you. Did you just arrive?"

It does tend to be neutral to angry, which is why the smile does make Gamora pause. Of course had she led with Rocket, Gamora may have replied with she wasn't responsible for his actions... He has a knack for thieving, after all, even when it isn't beneficial to them.

"I may be a little curious as to what it is that he has told you." Although her shoulders have dropped slightly and the guarded expression isn't quite so guarded. "I have, yes. He is here?"

"Don't worry, I only believe about a third of what he says." Nat smirks, shaking her head. "Besides, I prefer to make my own opinions on a person."

Looking around, she shakes her head. "No, I haven't seen him. Quill is here, though. We're all here from different times and universes. There are several of us here from your universe, though we're from different points in time."

"It may be correct, in a fashion, although with a twist." He is good at a number of things, and has gotten them out of some situations, but at the same time, he has also put them into those same situations. Her brow does furrow, wondering when she had come across him then, although the mention of Quill has her gaze sharpening again.

They've all come a long way from when they had all first run into each other. She'd thought them a bunch of idiots, and sometimes they still are, but they are her idiots. "Past, present, and future...? I would not think that would bode well."

"It gets a little confusing sometimes, but we manage. Most people are from before my time, as far as I can tell." Which is a good thing, but she's not about to say that.

She shrugs, looking around. "I don't talk about where I'm from much, so it doesn't make a difference to me. We're all supposed to be here for the same reason, after all."

"And how can you tell that?" Do they compare dates or something? Although even that would mean everyone would need to use the same calendar. Let alone how crazy it does all sound... Yet, Gamora has witnessed plenty of things that others may call crazy.

"So it was said." Not that she trusts information from some unknown source. "I am less inclined to simply believe."

There's a hint of tension at the question. It's a good question, but it 's not something she likes talking about. "Something bad happened. Something that had a rippling effect through the entire universe... it's pretty easy to tell when someone's been through it."

She can appreciate Gamora's skepticism, though. She was just as hesitant when she learned about their purpose there. Smirking, she nods. "Same. It took a lot of convincing for me to believe them, too."

In a way it was like dragging information out of Peter, although with some obvious differences. For starters, Gamora knows that they are strangers, and she in turn would exactly go spilling everything either. Even with the Guardians, there are some things that Gamora hasn't shared...

"And that would be?" There is a brief moment where she wonders after Thanos, but she has made certain not to pass knowledge on to him when she had been there. Without it, it would greatly hinder his search. "But you do now, believe them?"

Natasha regards her for a long moment, debating whether or not to tell her. Though she has no reason to mistrust the woman, she knows the truth is pretty harsh. Rocket hadn't told her everything, but she knew enough to know Gamora wouldn't like the answer. But she also deserves to know.

Finally, she simply responds: "Thanos."

There was an absolute stillness that came over Gamora with that name, the seconds dragging on until she finally did blink. Thanos. Little else truly needed to be said, as that said more than enough right there. Yet, a little questions came to mind, wondering how he had found the location of all... "He got them then."

No need to clarify as to what them was.

Natasha recognized that reaction and remained still and silent to give Gamora the space and time to process things. Knowing what little she did, she could only imagine what was going through the other woman's head.

She nodded in response to the question, her face grim.

"And he used them." Not that it needed to be said. He wouldn't have just collected them all and placed them on his mantel. No, Gamora knew that Thanos had had plans with them, and that, amongst other reasons, was why she had moved against him.

She nodded again. "Five years ago. But those of us who were left managed to reverse what he did." Well... Everyone else did.
