SUMMER TEST DRIVE MEME
Application FAQ | Taken Characters | Reserves | Application
Welcome to the Current Test Drive for The Revival Project!
This game is a spin-off from the closed The Drift Fleet game. For more information about the game, including more details on the setting, please check out the FAQ here or the premise here.
A thread on the TDM will be required for all applications. Please view the FAQ for information about how this works. Any questions about the game please direct to the comment section of the FAQ as well.
If you are a Drift Fleet alumni bringing your character from the game, please label your character as 'DFAU' on your top level. Also, keep in mind you have complete flexibility on how your character comes here. They could be taken before endgame, after endgame, two years after, one year before, etc. It's up to you! If you want to completely restart your character, they're not considered DFAU anymore and won't need the label.
So go! Explore Agra 10! And, as always, HAVE FUN!
Thread ideas:
Hot Summer Time!
If hunting for food isn't what you came here for, then sunbathing is always an option. Even if the color seems odd, this sand, also, likes to go literally everywhere.
Simply hopping into the water is also rarely a bad idea. This close to the coast there are no harmful creatures in the water, so whether you brought a swim suit, hop in fully clothed or have no care in the world about who might stumble over you naked, Agra 10's ocean is yours to play in.
Explore the city!
Most of the buildings are run down and have clearly been abandoned for years; fortunately, the water treatment center appears to be working, but power is intermittent and unreliable. What used to be stores or places to live in lies in ruins, but there may still be something to scavenge among the rubble. Do you want to risk a swim in the flooded area that has turned into a deep lake that has yet to be fully explored; or does it draw you to some of the more prominent and partially restored buildings, such as the hotel, the hospital or the amphitheater.
If you are lucky, you might even stumble over The Deep End, the bar located on one of the mid-levels of the tower residences in one of the residence towers. Unfortunately no bright neon signs can lead you there, but it does exist.
Visit the spaceships!
Maybe look around anyway. Or try your hand at some repairs?
Try the network!
There be storms...
Should you step inside the storm, or even get lost in it, it will show ghosts of people you know and those you don't. It drains you of any super-human abilities and tries its best to keep you from getting to its origin. Are you going to try anyways? Or are you going to chase the whispers of people from your past? Maybe you will simply find yourself calling for help or stumble across another lost soul in need of assistance.

And he's annoyingly grateful for the princess carry - when he goes fast, he's usually either under his own power or he's in a jet seat, with a padded headrest, and he wouldn't've been able to anticipate which way Tommy was going to move. His head being against Tommy's shoulder means no whiplash.
He wobbles a little, and makes a goodnatured face at Tommy. "All good. See? No puking."
no subject
"Way to go. You get a medal. When I get some more wood and make another clumsy one. Seriously, you're handling it better than most."
And Sam? He's no longer on the beach. Or anything that looks like it. Tommy pushes through the door of the building, and in a blur he's at the back, near a counter, turning some heat on under a kettle. "I'll run to the greenhouse for what I need for this when it's boiling."
no subject
"Well, thanks, man. You move damn fast. Impressive."
He walks in afterwards, looking around. His nose isn't so bad any more. He's mostly speaking non-nasally. Mostly. "Can I help?"
no subject
"Yeah, fastest person on the planet," he confirmed as he got out a cup. "You can just get a seat. Hold on."
With that Tommy takes off again in a rush, air racing after him from the change in air pressure in his departure. And a few seconds later he was back behind the counter with a bowl and a stone stick, which he was using to mix some plants and crush them a bit.
"Name's Tommy Shepherd. Back home I go by Speed. For obvious reasons."
no subject
"This planet?"
He finds a seat, and watches with interest as Tommy whooshes around. "Obvious, yeah. I go by Falcon, or Captain America, lately."
listen he would have come up with this nickname on his own too
"Well, Cap Flappy, any chance the shield came through with you? I've always wanted to see what might happen if I threw a rock at vibranium at superspeeds."
GFDI lolllll
Anyone with the shield gets a Cap Name
"Of course I do. We're both Avengers after all, right?"
dooooomed
"Wait, we are?"
no subject
"Yep. I think the YA technically got inducted as full Avengers when I was sixteen. Not that we get called in on a lot of musters seeing as the old folks are threatened by how amazing we were even then."
no subject
"The... the YA? Yelly Avengers, right?"
He snorts at the second comment. "You sure that was the reason, kid?"
no subject
"Young Avengers," Tommy corrected. But Yelly makes him laugh, because that's pretty fucking great sass there, man. "And yeah, I know it's because all the old people were a bit freaked by teens doing shit. But Spider-Man started while he was in high school, why not us? Not like we didn't inherit what we did. Legacy may be bullshit, but no denying most of us had it."
Even if only Cassie had known it at the start.
no subject
"If it helps, I think it's mostly because kids should get to be kids," he says wryly. "I mean, yeah, you whippersnappers should get off our lawns and so on, but a thirty year old man choosing to risk his neck is different from a fifteen year old boy doing the same. But if you guys are needed, and you're stepping up, then I can't really argue it. How do you mean, legacy?"
sorry it's so long but he asked and tommy has THOUGHTS about legacy and goes off without me
"If you've got that opinion, then maybe the minimum age to join the military should be raised," Tommy offers with a tilt of his head. "Among other things. You wouldn't believe some of the things Eli used to trot out whenever someone told him he shouldn't be out fighting. I don't know why people forget that we live on the planet too. And, you know, the team formed when the Avengers back home fell apart."
He passes the curative tea over and then in a blur is around the counter and sitting down.
"Our team? Except for Kate, and sorta Eli, all of us were related to an Avenger. Teddy is Mar-Vell's son, Cassie's Ant Man's daughter. The Ant Man Billy and I aren't related to, the cool one, Scott. There was Vision, he was rebuilt from Vision himself, so I guess that's legacy. Kate was actually not related to anyone but Cap did give her Hawkeye's name and bow."
Don't ask why Clint wasn't using them, Sam. You'd be happier not knowing.
"Eli himself isn't related to a normal Avenger. But his dad..." Shit, what are the chances that Sam knows some of this stuff? "Let's just say Steve Rogers wasn't the only one to have the title of Captain America during a time of war. And then there's Billy and me. We're the sons of the Scarlet Witch and Vision."
He wonders if this Sam even knows who ANY of those people other than Steve are. On the off chance that he does, and knows who Vision is, he offers his biggest 'I'm a little punk' grin.
"Can't you see the family resemblance? Beep Boop."
It would have been more accurate if he had whistled in the droid binary language, but come on, would the guy even get that?
