SUMMER TEST DRIVE MEME
Application FAQ | Taken Characters | Reserves | Application
Welcome to the Current Test Drive for The Revival Project!
This game is a spin-off from the closed The Drift Fleet game. For more information about the game, including more details on the setting, please check out the FAQ here or the premise here.
A thread on the TDM will be required for all applications. Please view the FAQ for information about how this works. Any questions about the game please direct to the comment section of the FAQ as well.
If you are a Drift Fleet alumni bringing your character from the game, please label your character as 'DFAU' on your top level. Also, keep in mind you have complete flexibility on how your character comes here. They could be taken before endgame, after endgame, two years after, one year before, etc. It's up to you! If you want to completely restart your character, they're not considered DFAU anymore and won't need the label.
So go! Explore Agra 10! And, as always, HAVE FUN!
Thread ideas:
Hot Summer Time!
If hunting for food isn't what you came here for, then sunbathing is always an option. Even if the color seems odd, this sand, also, likes to go literally everywhere.
Simply hopping into the water is also rarely a bad idea. This close to the coast there are no harmful creatures in the water, so whether you brought a swim suit, hop in fully clothed or have no care in the world about who might stumble over you naked, Agra 10's ocean is yours to play in.
Explore the city!
Most of the buildings are run down and have clearly been abandoned for years; fortunately, the water treatment center appears to be working, but power is intermittent and unreliable. What used to be stores or places to live in lies in ruins, but there may still be something to scavenge among the rubble. Do you want to risk a swim in the flooded area that has turned into a deep lake that has yet to be fully explored; or does it draw you to some of the more prominent and partially restored buildings, such as the hotel, the hospital or the amphitheater.
If you are lucky, you might even stumble over The Deep End, the bar located on one of the mid-levels of the tower residences in one of the residence towers. Unfortunately no bright neon signs can lead you there, but it does exist.
Visit the spaceships!
Maybe look around anyway. Or try your hand at some repairs?
Try the network!
There be storms...
Should you step inside the storm, or even get lost in it, it will show ghosts of people you know and those you don't. It drains you of any super-human abilities and tries its best to keep you from getting to its origin. Are you going to try anyways? Or are you going to chase the whispers of people from your past? Maybe you will simply find yourself calling for help or stumble across another lost soul in need of assistance.

She's from sometime between becoming pregnant and dying in childbirth, she has to be. Which makes little sense either.
"The Emperor," he finally hears himself say. "The Sith Lord hunting down Force sensitives. And, and his hunter, Darth Vader."
He doesn't know how it all went down. But he knows most people never knew the connection between Anakin and Vader. Everyone involved destroyed that information for various reasons.

She feels like she should know, though. Do any of the others know of this Darth Vader? They must! Had they just not told her?

Looking aside, she bites her lip and thinks. Her mind is reeling with possibilities. Even if her life had been in danger, she had proven time and again that she could protect herself. She certainly could keep the children safe. She could have just hidden somewhere with them. There's no way she would. Have willingly let that happen! Oh. Oh no. There's really only one reason that fits. Things begin to fall into place. She covers her mouth with her hand. She was called a Senator by some from her future when she arrived. It never occurred to her why they'd do that when the senate was long dead in their time and she'd presumably have grown into some other role. Not that she'd asked about her future, or had ever really wanted to know. The only explanation is that she doesn't have one.
Her voice is soft "Oh... Oh no..."

With practiced grace and poise, she tucks those thoughts and emotions away to deal with later. Centering herself, she turns back to Luke with a smile and a nod. "I'm glad. And now we have a chance to get to know one another. Granted, these are very unusual circumstances, but I'm happy it's brought us together. I've brought a blanket to sit on, will you join me?"

(Less so Yoda. Yoda had a vague sense of frustrated annoyance about him a lot. Having met the others here, he can sort of understand why.)
"Yeah, sure. Of course." He detours briefly to tie down the lid of the bucket that has the lobsters in it and grabs it by the handle to follow her back to her blanket.

While he sees to the bucket, she pulls the blanket out of her bag and spreads it on the sand. When she sits, though her back is still perfectly straight, she looks at ease. She spreads her skirts around her legs, but leaves most of the blanket free for him to join her.
When he sits, she smiles. "I'm happy to tell you anything you want to know. I admit, I'm terribly curious about you, but I won't press if you're not comfortable telling me."

He's been a bit... busy.
"How did you meet Father?"

"I was queen of Naboo. I'd barely begun to get the hang of everything when the Trade Federation invaded. One of my handmaidens had taken my place, while I disguised myself as a handmaiden so I could travel safely. There were two Jedi, Qui-Gon Jin and his Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi, who rescued us and took us off-world. We were trying to get to Coruscant so we could ask the Senate for assistance." She pauses, turning to look at him, "Unfortunately the hyperdrive was damaged and we had to land on Tatooine for repairs. As the queen's handmaiden, I went to Mos Eisley with Qui-Gon. It was there that we met Anakin and his mother Schmi, slaves of a junk dealer who had the parts we needed. He was just a little boy, then. But he risked his life in a pod race so we could get the parts we needed. Qui-Gon sensed the Force within him and freed him from slavery so we could take him with us. He was brought to the Jedi temple and I didn't see him again for ten years."
Her smile widens as she remembers seeing Obi-Wan and Ani again, "When next I saw him, I was a Senator, my life was in danger, and the Jedi Council had sent Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and his Padawan Anakin Skywalker to protect me."
no subject
"So, you were a queen, he was a boy and then ten years later they were sent to protect you as a Senator. You were a Queen?"

But she wouldn't let him sour the mood. "Naboo is beautiful. We celebrate art and culture. There are so many lakes and oceans. It's why I like coming here."

"Owen Lars? I've met him. He's Anakin's brother. Beru was lovely. I'm glad they were married."

Padme sounds far older than she looks... Of course, she's been in politics for over a decade, so that has something to do with it.
