This game is a spin-off from the closed The Drift Fleet game. For more information about the game, including more details on the setting, please check out the FAQ here or the premise here.

A thread on the TDM will be required for all applications. Please view the FAQ for information about how this works. Any questions about the game please direct to the comment section of the FAQ as well.

If you are a Drift Fleet alumni bringing your character from the game, please label your character as 'DFAU' on your top level. Also, keep in mind you have complete flexibility on how your character comes here. They could be taken before endgame, after endgame, two years after, one year before, etc. It's up to you! If you want to completely restart your character, they're not considered DFAU anymore and won't need the label.

Hot Summer Time!

Summer has arrived and you know what that means: It's time to head out and spend some time at the beach, lounging on its bluish, almost purple sand, going for a swim or gathering some of the fat, green lobsters just wandering around the beach. They may be tasty, but remember that their pinch is toxic. It won’t kill you but it will definitely have the pinched body part swelling up and itching like a bad wool sweater.

If hunting for food isn't what you came here for, then sunbathing is always an option. Even if the color seems odd, this sand, also, likes to go literally everywhere.

Simply hopping into the water is also rarely a bad idea. This close to the coast there are no harmful creatures in the water, so whether you brought a swim suit, hop in fully clothed or have no care in the world about who might stumble over you naked, Agra 10's ocean is yours to play in.

Explore the city!

Here's a map and a bit more description of some of the buildings here.

Most of the buildings are run down and have clearly been abandoned for years; fortunately, the water treatment center appears to be working, but power is intermittent and unreliable. What used to be stores or places to live in lies in ruins, but there may still be something to scavenge among the rubble. Do you want to risk a swim in the flooded area that has turned into a deep lake that has yet to be fully explored; or does it draw you to some of the more prominent and partially restored buildings, such as the hotel, the hospital or the amphitheater.

If you are lucky, you might even stumble over The Deep End, the bar located on one of the mid-levels of the tower residences in one of the residence towers. Unfortunately no bright neon signs can lead you there, but it does exist.

Visit the spaceships!

That's right, there are currently several small spaceships grounded in the hangar - Or what remains of them. It's painfully obvious that these ships have crash-landed not too long ago and were taken back to the hangar for repairs. You were assigned to one of them and its doors will open for you and let you enter if you wish. (For test drive purposes, the ship that will let you enter is up to you, so just pick whichever name appeals, and go for it!) The other ships won't open for you, but as neither of them look as if they will be leaving anytime soon that doesn't really matter either way.

Maybe look around anyway. Or try your hand at some repairs?

Try the network!

Upon arrival, your character will have on their person a small, handheld communications device. Maybe they know exactly how to use a computer, smartphone, or tablet, and immediately blast out a text or video trying to figure out what's going on. Or maybe they're not so tech-savvy after all, and everyone is about to get a lovely shot right up your character's left nostril.

There be storms...

These power-altering storms keep ravaging parts of the planet every once in a while. No one truly knows where they come from or what to do about them yet, but one of them appears to be approaching. You have the option to find shelter in one of the buildings to wait for it to pass. Unless, of course, you rather feel drawn to investigate.

Should you step inside the storm, or even get lost in it, it will show ghosts of people you know and those you don't. It drains you of any super-human abilities and tries its best to keep you from getting to its origin. Are you going to try anyways? Or are you going to chase the whispers of people from your past? Maybe you will simply find yourself calling for help or stumble across another lost soul in need of assistance.

Wildcard!

You're welcome to use any previous test drive scenarios or previous game events as a basis for a thread/situation, or simply make up your own! Keep in mind that you're currently stranded on a planet with only basic necessities, but there is enough food and fresh water. Creature comforts, however, seem to be distinctly lacking. Quite unlike a gathering of potentially dangerous creatures to encounter. The setting is yours to explore and have fun with!

His blue eyes simply watched as the bag was lowered to the ground. What was she planning on doing? The gesture itself didn't seem threatening in any way so he just stood there. And then she said what she was going to do.

Laundry?

His gaze then went to where she gestured to and he realized he had to move. "Oh." And with her having said that, Terra moved aside to make room even as he looked around, noting it needed to be fixed. "I wonder when the last time this one was off the ground."

She offered a smile and nod to thank him for hte motion. She lifted her bag again and moved to the door and put her bag inside of it.

"When we went to Coruscant."

Well that place was unfamiliar to him of course. So his blue eyes narrowed slightly in confusion. No, he'd never been to a world with that name before. Still, he tried to match the name anyhow even as it kept coming up empty.

"Coruscant? Where's that? Is..that a world?"

"Indeed. The whole planet seemed to be one massive city. It was very inspiring. And also sad as the lower one went, the less people were happy it seemed."

She opened the washer and started to load her clothes into it.

"You've been to other worlds then?"

"One massive city." Terra mused thoughtfully, "sounds like it was really something to see." He could only picture it in his mind but was curious about why people nearer to the surface were unhappier than those above.

And he was about to ask such a thing when the question about other worlds got asked. "Uh..well I came to this one. What about you?"

Because the poor were nearer the surface. It's simple really.

"It was," she agreed, and once her things are in, she turns the machine on. Then she looks to Terra and nods.

"I am Kree. We are a star-empire. I have been to many worlds."

Terra nodded at hearing the small report about how this Coruscant world was as impressive as he mentally thought it might be. And of course he was sure that being in the actual place beat whatever his imagination had come up with.

At hearing how she was from a star empire made him think too. "So you went around with your people helping out these other worlds?"

Because everyone did that, right?

Ah. Lauri-Ell pauses, staring at the laundry machine.

"No. We did not. Not in the past. Things have changed, but it is very recent."

Far too recent for her to lack shame.

"I see." Terra replied, looking down at the floor. He figured out what she wasn't saying and didn't know what to say in response to that. But then again he himself had done a lot of things he was remorseful over even if in some ways he had been forgiven.

It was still a work in progress to forgive himself.

So it took him a moment and finally he looked up. "But, you said you changed that, right?"

"Yes, my people changed. The Emperor united us," Lauri-Ell answered as she moved toward the door. "I desire some chocolate protein paste. Will you join me?"

"Emperor." Terra repeated. He had heard of Kings like King Mickey, but not of an emperor. Still, he nodded. "Change can be scary, but it can be for the better, which sounds like happened to you."

But then as the woman moved, the keyblade wielder of course followed her with his eyes, careful to stay out of her way. "Chocolate protein paste?" He knew what chocolate was from having ice cream with it. But, a paste?

"Yes. THe food dispensers in this ship offer a paste-like material. Come, allow me to show you," she offered with a smile, gesturing for him to follow her to the galley.

He wasn't quite sure that sounded great, but he wasn't finding anything out in the ship. So Terra followed quietly behind. "Can I ask..how long you've been here?"

"Approximately nine months now," Lauri-Ell answered as she ducked into the galley and moved to a ship. "I am learning to adjust to so much time spent around humans. And the seasons are nice as well. I look forward to the return of snow. It was beautiful."

"That's..a long time." Terra answered, thinking of how long he could possibly be here without his friends. The humans part stumped him for a moment though. "So..you don't normally interact with people?" And then that other word. "Snow? They have snow here?"

"I believe there are others that are very much longer," Lauri-Ell answered with a smile. "I have been lucky, to be near those people who have more experience."

She takes up a bowl and soon is using the machines to get chocolate paste in it.

"I do interact with people. I just did not have much experience with humans before I came here. And yes, there is snow."

"Longer.." Terra replied in a low tone. Somehow he thought he'd only be here a matter of days if that. But he'd just have to keep trying to see about leaving. He didn't know how long Aqua or Ven had been in the darkness searching for Sora, and he was supposed to be helping them. He'd been away for years and really didn't feel like being away all that much longer.

But he said nothing and watched Lauri-Ell curiously. Whatever she was having didn't look all that great, but he wasn't going to say anything.

If she didn't have much interactions, there seemed to be plenty of humans here, so that would help he figured. And he'd heard of snow, but never saw it himself. Ven would probably get a huge kick out of it though.

Yes, it is not great, but it is what is available to her while she is here. She took her bowl to a table and sat with it, before gesturing that he was welcome to join her.

"Much longer. William has been here since this started, I understand. Nearly two years I believe," she says. "It was different here then. We have things better. We are lucky, for they made this place easier for us all."

Terra sat down once he was invited and listened intently. But all it did was bring up more questions. "So..this William person has been here a long time. But just how does he make life better here? What does he do?" Because if Terra could find somewhere to sort of dig in and help, that's what he wanted to do.

Sitting around wasn't his style, he was used to being out and about and doing things for people.

"He works with medicine. His brother grows food," Lauri-Ell smiled, before trying a spoonfull of her chocolate paste. "Better food than this. I work to protect people. Each have their places they make sense, right?"

"Growing food and medicine." That was a thought. "You mean, you don't have any sort of magic to heal people here?" He knew not everyone could do magic or wield a keyblade. And of course growing food so people could eat it was definitely serious business.

But he nodded. "Yup, can't have everyone doing one thing, other things would get left out."

Magic?

"Such as William has? It is not common here. Magic is also a rare gift in my world so this is not fully surprising. Are you suggesting that that is something you are familiar with?"

She does smile though at the idea that he has understood so quickly. Everyone worked as a unit here, even if it didn't always seem smooth."

He nodded. "People back in my world have magic. Not everyone does, but some do. But I guess I just figured people might have it here, even if it isn't in their home world." He wondered if anyone here could claim this place as their home world.

Ah. That's a sad adjustment to have to make.

"No, I do not believe that it is as common here as it otherwise be. There are even those who are not familiar with it at all. You will find yourself in a very wide spread of experiences and awarenesses here. One must learn to foster patience."

Terra listened and in a vague way that advice reminded him of Master Eraqus. Still, he nodded. "Right, not everyone can do magic even back home." Not that he ever thought any less of anyone who couldn't wield a keyblade. "But if helping people with it is needed, I can do that."
