FALL TEST DRIVE MEME
Application FAQ | Taken Characters | Reserves | Application
Welcome to the Current Test Drive for The Revival Project!
This game is a spin-off from the closed The Drift Fleet game. For more information about the game, including more details on the setting, please check out the FAQ here or the premise here.
A thread on the TDM will be required for all applications. Please view the FAQ for information about how this works. Any questions about the game please direct to the comment section of the FAQ as well.
If you are a Drift Fleet alumni bringing your character from the game, please label your character as 'DFAU' on your top level. Also, keep in mind you have complete flexibility on how your character comes here. They could be taken before endgame, after endgame, two years after, one year before, etc. It's up to you! If you want to completely restart your character, they're not considered DFAU anymore and won't need the label.
So go! Explore Agra 10! And, as always, HAVE FUN!
Thread ideas:
Fall in Temba and Sh'Ka
Now Temba has decidedly fewer trees than Sh'Ka. They are also much smaller and may not necessarily of the same species. The leaves in Temba fall gently. The leaves in Sh'Ka, however? They turn to stone while still attached to their branches and suddenly fall to the floor from high, high up above.
Thud.
They shatter once they hit the ground, which may explain why you haven't really seen any leaf-shaped rocks around. You still may want to try and avoid getting hit too much by this slowly increasing hail of stone leaves.
Explore
Most of the buildings are run down and have clearly been abandoned for years; fortunately, the water treatment center appears to be working, but power is intermittent and unreliable. What used to be stores or places to live in lies in ruins, but there may still be something to scavenge among the rubble. Do you want to risk a swim in the flooded area that has turned into a deep lake that has yet to be fully explored; or does it draw you to some of the more prominent and partially restored buildings, such as the hotel, the hospital or the amphitheater.
If you are lucky, you might even stumble over The Deep End, the bar located on one of the mid-levels of the tower residences in one of the residence towers. Unfortunately no bright neon signs can lead you there, but it does exist.
Visit the spaceships!
Maybe look around anyway. Or try your hand at some repairs?
Try the network!
There be storms...
Should you step inside the storm, or even get lost in it, it will show ghosts of people you know and those you don't. It drains you of any super-human abilities and tries its best to keep you from getting to its origin. Are you going to try anyways? Or are you going to chase the whispers of people from your past? Maybe you will simply find yourself calling for help or stumble across another lost soul in need of assistance.
More information can be found here.

"Luminary?" he asked, turning around almost in a complete circle. Funny, his oath sworn charge had been standing right beside him a moment ago. The divine whale was gone as were all of his companions, save Veronica who'd given her life to make sure all of the companions including himself - had survived the Fall of the World tree.
To that end, he spotted the leaves and took a few strides towards it. He wasn't the Luminary who would be more inclined to sense it was Her, but still somehow he highly doubted this tree was Yggdrasil.
The tall knight extended a gentle black gloved hand up to the tree, and held the leaf while it was still attached.
"Have you ever seen such a colour in a leaf before?"
no subject
The voice that spoke up sounded like it had a strange, faint echo to it. Hopefully the metal face and glowing eyes of the hooded, lightly armored figure behind Hendrik wouldn't startle him too much, but Cayde was busy looking up at the rest of the tree, admiring its turn of foliage.

What, wasn't that asked of her? Lauri-Ell thought it was. At least, she was the only one around when the words were said, walking past with her hammer in hand and armor on. but she had seen the stranger and come to greet him, only to have hte words said. And now she was curious.
"Is that not normal?"

Mithrax, Kell of Light - Destiny 2
For the sake of a vantage point with some cover Mithrax chose a tall tree and began to climb. He scaled it easily enough with his four arms tipped in sharp claws. Eliksni were good at scaling things.
He carefully made his way out to the edge of a branch, shaking loose a few of the stone leaves which fell to the ground below. Mithrax crouched, a hand braced on the branch he was on, his secondary arms loose at his sides for balance.
This was not Earth. It was not the Botza district even though it was somewhat in ruin. There was no Great Machine hovering in the sky. Mithrax had tried his Splicer gauntlet already and this was no Vex simulation. He was somewhere else.
And unsure of where that else was.
---
Temba: The Hangar
There were many strange sights to see around Temba but this one was particularly unusual. The alien stood almost seven feet tall, had four arms, and wore armor with spiked shoulders and a tattered cloak. They stood considering the hangar full of ships with their head tilted slightly to the side.
They approached a ship, walked up to the door and attempted to enter but could not. Then the alien held one of his main arms forward. There was a gauntlet covering the forearm and from it three antenna rose. Circles of light appeared around the wrist and it appeared like some sort of technology that tried to interface with the ship itself.
When it failed the alien stepped back and moved on to try again at the next ship.

Wild Card: Whatever you want!
Feel free to set up a scenario with Mithrax that appeals to you. Message me if you have any questions!
Climb That Tree!
"Avoid the vines with the pods as you come up here, unless you want to get sprayed in the face."
She's referencing the Spitpod vines that are quite common in Sh'Ka, several of which are draped along Mithrax's path up the tree.

Kanan Jarrus | Star Wars: Rebels
Kanan had traveled to numerous systems and each one had its own little quirks and tricks to learn. He'd know one of two where you had to watch up for the rain, but stone leaves was something a little different. It certain made him curious about how the locals made it through fall and what kind of coverings they must use.y th
It was certainly enough to keep him on his toes as he listened to signs of the falling leaves, and extended his senses to avoid any from landing on his head.
Exploring Temba
The thing about abandoned towns, was that there was always a reason that they were abandoned, and generally when abandoned there were generally at least a few small treasures or items left behind. Given that Kanan had no idea how long he would be here, or entirely certain of what he was supposed to do, he trusted that he was in the right place and began to find supplies.
For the moment he stood by the fountain, splashing a bit of the water on his face. If the layout was like a typical place, then this area would be for a market and tourists. He'd just finished splashing a little more water on the back of his neck when she senseed someone, hearing their footsteps.
"Not so abandoned after all."
Spaceships:
Hera had always been the pilot, and she was the one to generally keep the ship running while Kanan was busy causing trouble elsewhere and bringing it back with him a fair amount of time. But even blind and not being a master mechanic he could tell that these had seen better days. Running a hand over one he quickly pulled it away as a panel fell and a few sparks sputtered for a moment.
"Don't think we'll be catching a ride anytime soon. But we might be able to use the scrap for something else. We could check and see if the battery cells are any good still."
Wildcard:
[Want to try something else or plot feel free to PM me or find me on plurk
Wildcard?
There's a new presence in Temba, and one he could never forget or mistake someone one else. At least, he doesn't see how he could possibly mistake anyone else for Kanan Jarrus. And while he's never let himself hope that anyone he misses from home could be brought here, much less Kanan, whose death he'd witnessed...he knows it's possible. Based on the experiences of other here, the person Ezra is sensing could be Kanan at any point in his life. Possibly a life where Kanan and Ezra had never crossed paths.
This place is very strange.
But Ezra doesn't think this is a stranger; he's almost certain is his master, although he's a little afraid to reach through the Force to try to confirm it.
After a long moment of shock and indecision, Ezra bolts away from his garden, towards Kanan's presence, without letting any others who might be around know where he's going. He slows down a little, as he gets closer, hoping to get a glimpse that might help him place when in time Kanan is from.
And then he comes to a stop, a few feet away, staring. He takes a deep breath. Even so, his voice isn't as steady as he'd like as he greets with a quiet, "....Hi."

Celty Sturluson - Durarara!!
There's no warning, other than the light crunch of gravel beneath tire treads, or the scattering of loose stone and dust from a tight turn. And yet there it is, a black motorcycle speeding around the wider avenues of the ruined city. There's no growl of an engine that those familiar with such models would expect, and yet it can't simply be powered by gravitational momentum as there are obvious times it speeds up or slows down.
Its rider is difficult to discern given they're likewise dressed in black, a full bodysuit and gloves to match. The brightest thing is the yellow helmet with its blue trim, with molded cat ears and a dark visor. Where they're going is anyone's guess, but if there's someone out on the road or somewhere nearby, they'll make a stop.
SPACESHIP?!
I've been kidnapped by aliens.
She's been trying to deny this as fact ever since she'd touched that horrible glowing ball thing at the fountain, but even then it had been a slippery battle up a wall. And now she's found her way to the hangar, filled with actual spaceships. In her thoughts she might be screaming, just a little bit.
Slowly, hesitantly, the helmetted rider walks her motorcycle along towards one of the closest shuttles. Maybe they're just...movie set props? Yes! They've gotten really good at models! That's all this is! Wariness bleeds away from her shoulders at this prospect, and she steps over to the hull to run a hand over its surface.
Eeeh. It's...very solid for a set piece, she notes, pulling her hand away. That hesitancy has returned as she starts to circle around it, and she just about jumps when the shuttle opens up as she nears its hatch. Shoulders hunched, she backs away hurriedly with her bike, looking on the verge of panicking.
No way! It's not real! Aaah, why did it open up?? Are there aliens inside?!
All the while she's silent, her thoughts a nervous swirl as she edges back a little more, looking just about ready to vault onto her motorcycle and speed away for whatever reason.

I found this device when I arrived. If it belongs to someone, I'll return it. It's a lot different than what I've used before.
I seem to be missing my phone, but I guess it probably wouldn't work here anyway. Still, it's important...
Is anyone else here? I really hope the alien thing is a joke.

Rey | Star Wars
It was strange enough being thrown completely off your bearings, but to be in a completely different place and (possibly?) time was a whole league above anything Rey could wrap her head around. She'd learned very quickly how to wrap her head around a lot, too.
The foliage was pretty, at least. She'd adjusted to the vibrant greens of Ajan Kloss, but it was a jungle planet. If the foliage ever changed hues it was usually isolated to a few trees that had different phases of their growth. The full changing of the leaves, some still green, but many blue and purple, was a new wonder to Rey. Almost enough to distract her from everything else.
That is of course, until a chill runs up her spine and she moves, narrowly avoiding a leaf dropping like a rock and shattering at her feet.
"Are you serious?" she exclaims out of frustration, turning and looking up at the offending tree. "The trees are trying to kill me here?"
ii; City ruins
Ruins are something of an old hat for Rey. Granted she's used to the ruins of starships, but they were bigger than some of these buildings so the difference doesn't bother her. She moves around the wreckage of one particular building, it might have been a market once, sifting through the junk, looking for anything of use. She's careful not to disturb anything too boldly, she can sense how fragile the structure is.
"Maybe there's something preserved over there," she mutters to herself, stepping over a faded awning and moving to a pile of debris towards the back of the room, looking for something not entirely exposed to the elements by what was once a large streetfront window.
iii; Once a scavenger, always a scavenger.
When Rey found her way to the hangar she let out a slow exhale at the sight of the ships. They weren't in terrible shape, they'd probably been better. She moves towards one, eyes scanning the hull, mentally marking what was intact and assigning value to it out of sheer habit. She'd learned to deal in credits a little more these days, but her mind always went to portions, first.
Laying a hand on the side of the ship as the door opens she peers inside, before taking a few steps in, looking around.
"Not terrible shape. Unkar Plutt would lose his fishy mind if he saw you."
i
He shrieks and veers off course as one of those rock leaves drops unexpectedly in front of him, slamming into out of the trees and bringing down a whole hail storm raining down over him as he screams and tries his best to dodge.

Breq | Imperial Radch
She's completely disconnected again. She reaches for her crew, and for Mercy of Kalr. Nothing.
She is one lone body. But it's not as nearly bad as...other times. She lived like this for nearly 20 years. She can do it again. She has to, because the other option is just stopping, and she has never been very good at that.
So she takes to walking through the city she has found herself in, spiraling outward from the fountain. She should smile, if she sees someone else, she reminds herself. She should probably continue to behave as if she were human and give no indication otherwise. Someone would probably have to run a medical scan or be able to interface with her implants, to have any idea otherwise.
(Some form of extra sensory perception is not one that occurs to her as a possibility. A psychic that's paying attention might or might not be able to guess that her mind isn't truly human, although her body mostly is. Or perhaps not. The ever constant feeling of loss and anger might be distracting.)
After a while, as she so often does, she falls into singing - a Valskaayian hymn. It should be in Delsig, one of many, many languages she knows, and some part of her brain absently notes that's not how it's coming out. Yet, it feels natural.
"When tyrants tremble, sick with fear,
And hear their knells ringing;
When friends rejoice both far and near,
How can I keep from singing?"
Her fellow residents of Temba might wish her to stop, however. There are certainly worse singing voices, but hers is not very good either.
ii. Ships
Not every ship where Breq is from is fully integrated into the consciousness of an AI. Smaller vessels like these are usually merely piloted by humans or the ancillary bodies of AI ships.
Still, as the lone remnant of a ship, herself, she can't help but be unsettled by these small ones left in clear need of repair. Are they not needed anymore? Or is there simply no one around who knows how to repair them?
Outwardly, her expression falls into default blankness, as she trails a gloved hand over a hull, and she starts to hum softly. After a moment of indecision, she begins looking for tools for an attempt at some repairs. Surely on a base mechanical level, these systems can't be that different from the kind she knows so intimately?
iii. Network
[A person of relative youth - maybe mid twenties to thirties - in a uniform of black and brown addresses the network in a calm, even voice.]
Greetings. I'd address you all with whatever is the proper form, here, but I'm afraid I don't know what that is. I am Breq. I gather that I am not the only being who has found themselves abruptly transported here.
[Breq smiles. It's perfectly polite and not truly forced, but it is, as almost all her facial expressions are, a completely conscious effort. She can't help it; it's how she was made.]
I would be grateful if any of you would grant me the benefit of introducing yourself. And perhaps telling me something that you wish you had known when you arrived here? Thank you.
Ships
He slowly rose to his full height so that she would not take his movement as a threat. Mirthrax had been careful since arriving in this strange place. The humans here did not seem to know about the Eliksni and were very skittish, like a young hatchling.
"I have not heard much from the ships themselves. Only one will speak to me."

Loki Laufeyson/Odinson | Marvel Cinematic Universe |OTA
Network
[Loki felt like he was getting a headache; the information dump hadn't been painful per se, but it was still a good bit of info to have suddenly thrust upon you. He'd played around with the device, figuring out fairly quickly at least some of the functions. There was a network here, which meant there were hopefully those who could give him more information.
Oh that 'dictionary' function was very helpful, and made Loki smile. Time to see what his welcome might be like and if anyone might recognize him. No doubt he would absolutely have some explaining to do if he felt like it.
Setting up the video function, there's a dark-haired man with blue-green eyes and an angular face staring at the screen.]
Fairly sure I have this device set for video. So hello. I hope I'm not the only one to be suddenly kidnapped and brought to this desolate place?
[With a smile.]
Exploring Temba (come join him)
Northeast side--3/4/6 around the Hangar
Loki was curious; it had ever been one of his besetting vices. There was so much to do, and while it might've made more sense to go at things in an organized manner... Instead he went where whims took him. Today, they took him to exploring the ruins and areas around the Hangar. In particular he wanted to scavenge and explore the Terminal, if he could get to it. Perhaps do some repairs, or at least take notes and stock of what might be useful to others.
If there was anything useful.
Northwest Side--19 (Memorial)/20 (Palace)
Of course the palace would interest him. And the memorial too. Certainly the number of broken data points in the palace had his attention. Careful to again take notes and stock of things that might be useful, he climbed over rubble or moved it as needed. In particular, he was studying the patterns of the Memorial, including sketching them when he could to study later.
Wildcard
[I welcome ideas and CR. I'm particularly interested in continuing to explore the seeds of potential-redemption we'd seen in the films.]
Network
[Hey Agrii, you literally just ruined the neighborhood here.]
Hey, do us all a favor and don't go all trying to take over the planet. Sorta a shit planet too. Not that I'm judging the people originally from here. But you know what it reminds me of? What you and the Chitauri woulda done to New York.

Dwight Fairfield | Dead by Daylight
Dwight casts a look back to the glowing orb he has mistaken for a glyph earlier. What happened after touching it still leaves him confused, but if this is simply a new addition to the trials he can't necessarily afford letting himself get distracted. Nor can he afford to keep hiding here much longer. His eyes settle on one of the nearby buildings. Looks like a diner. Another quick look around and he bursts into a sprint, covering the open space between fountain and diner before rushing inside, not seeing anyone who may be sitting at any of the tables as he darts straight for the counter, vaults over it in one surprisingly smooth motion and immediately crouches back down in his newfound hiding spot, never having let go of the small red box that at least some might recognize as a rather beat-up first aid kit.
It is then that he notices the pair of legs right next to him and for a moment he freezes in place. As nothing happens, however, Dwight dares to glance up to whoever this person may be. Failing to recognize them as one of his fellow survivors, he tries, keeping his voice low. "Uhm. Hello. You're new, right?"
no subject
"The fuck are you doing? Is something after you?" Did he have to shoot a wild animal or something? That was the first thing that came to mind and he always left the theater armed when he was exploring or foraging for anything interesting.
Speaking of animals, a brown puppy emerged from behind him, tail wagging, and sniffed at Dwight before barking once.
"Jack, hush." If there was something he had to worry about, he didn't want the dog drawing attention to them.

eddie "do you think blood comes out with baking soda" kaspbrak | it
"No, uh— really— I'm fine." That said he certainly doesn't look fine. There's a grim to his clothes, dark gray water and wet earth but it says nothing about the prominent blood stain across his back. His front isn't in any better shape but he's got a black jacket in his hands, pressed close against his chest like a security blanket or perhaps as an attempt to ease the flow of blood that is no longer actually flowing. "I just need to find my friends, so—"
Whatever he might have been going to say falls away in a raspy sort of gasp that is further thrown out of focus when he coughs. It would be fine, perhaps but the dripple of blood that slips down his chin is another story and he turns his head to spit with another wheezy sound. It's unclear just what his mindset might be in the moment but given the lack of color in his face its quickly spiraling toward him passing out in front of this fucking bar like he isn't in the middle of a mid-life (early death??) crisis.
And so, for a moment, Eddie just stares at the blood on the ground and tries to breathe but its quickly moving from "shocked" into "panicked".
"Shit."
Yeah— that about sums it up.

The Doctor | Doctor Who
The Doctor is out and about the landscape. He's trying to get an understanding of these new surroundings. After all, it's not often he finds an entire new place. He wonders what sort of beings use to live here. What their history is and what happened to them?
Though by a glance around it seems that like most great civilians - time. Time got to them. Ten can be found anywhere but mainly in the Agriculture Building trying to identity any of the plants. He is also looking for a seed vault. Don't mind the fact that he's whiffing, seeds or licking parts of certain plants.
He is also at the University/Library and notes that all the books have turned to dust. "Blimey this is out of an H.G. Wells book, isn't it? You know I knew him. Very superstitious man." The Doctor is also looking for a computer and if he happens upon one, will try to use his sonic screwdriver on that.
Then off to the Museum, there's a grim look on his face. He doesn't like seeing culture completely gone. "Shame isn't it?"
Feel free to pick any of these locations for a Wildcard)
Agricultural Building
Sure, aliens are not new and strange, you couldn't work in SHIELD without running into the information that they exist, they're out there, and they aren't always friendly, but this was a bit much.
But her explorations had brought her here and truly the weirdest part of all of this in her opinion was seeing a guy licking strange plants. Sharon frowned and cleared her throat.
"Sir, are you certain that it is entirely safe to behave in such a manner?"

Nebula | MCU | ota
[Taking in nature and relaxing is not something Nebula really had any experience with, so when she's walking through the apparently newly discovered town she's already on edge, as though expecting some kind of surprise attack. The fresh air is nice, she supposes, after so long on the Benetar before finding herself inexplicably transported to this planet. She's just starting to relax, thinking about taking a seat on a nearby bench when something smashes against her head and she stumbles back. Cursing, Nebula turns, her shock batons out in her hands in a flash, snarling up at her would-be attacker.
Except there's no one there?
Another rock smashes her in the face and she flinches, shaking off the shattered rock. It's not enough to damage her cybernetics, but it hurt all the same. Her ocular implant traces the trajectory of the rock upward to the tree as a stiff breeze sends more leaves off their branches to shower her in rocks.]
Explore the city Temba, for a stiff drink
[This place is making her anxious. She didn't like being trapped, especially not after finally freeing herself from Thanos' grip on her life. Luckily, the people here seem to more or less leave her to her own devices. Which means she finds herself at The Deep End most nights, drinking away her frustrations. She sits alone at the corner booth, trying to be away from people as much as she can. But when it's too crowded, like it is tonight, that's not always an option. So there's someone sitting at her table as she nurses her latest beer.
Apparently, they've spent too long looking at her or she's just feeling drunk and belligerent, so she snaps.] What are you staring at?
Visiting the Space Ships
[It doesn't take very long for Nebula to find the hangar full of ships. They all look to be better used for scrap than repairing in her mind, but they do seem to be the only option. Once she finds a ship that will open for her, she starts to scope it out to see what needs fixing. It's quite a lot, to her chagrin. This isn't her first foray in trying to repair a battered ship. At least this one isn't stranded out in space and losing oxygen.
She may also be hoping that if she can get this shipped fixed, she'll be able to steal it and get out of this place. Maybe there are worse places to be, but she resents being stuck.
Intent, Nebula's got half her body slid under the piloting controls deep into her repair and rewiring efforts. Still, she's fully aware when someone else steps inside the cockpit. Her cybernetic hand shoots out from under the controls and into their view.] Hand me that laser cutter.
Visiting the Space Ships

In the time that I have been here there has been much debate over whether or not it should be believed. I, however, think the answer is that it is probably valid to do so.
There are other forces at odds with what the Agrii need, but for the moment, it's believable enough.
[A pause before he continued, mostly because he was trying to keep a little menace with paws from climbing up to take the comm and get his own words in.]
My name is Reeve, and I would be happy to provide some insight if you wish.

lucifer morningstar | lucifer
Lucifer is clearly far too well-dressed for the current situation. The custom Prada suit and Italian loafers are sure to be ruined fast if he doesn't find someplace a little cleaner.
"There's a reason why I don't usually watch post-apocalyptic films," he comments mildly, his British accent fitting his posh looks perfectly. ...and then he manifests a pair of large, beautiful white wings to fly himself over a large chunk of rubble. "This is ridiculous."

Clearly there has been a huge mistake, but I don't suppose asking to speak to whoever's in charge will get me anywhere, so I'll ask this instead:
Is there somewhere I can get a drink? Any swill will do, I left all my top-shelf back home.

I can't help you on the former, but it's a simple enough matter for me to magic up some cocktails. Sometimes it's easier when the bar comes with you, so to speak.

Katara | Avatar: The Last Airbender
[ Oh, wow. This is familiar. Arriving back in Temba, memories of places and faces flood Katara's mind. Had she forgotten them? How had that happened? How had she been transported home, and why was she back here again?
It's easy enough to post on the network and see if anyone here remembers her, or if they'd all disappeared like she had. ]
Hello? Anyone home? I'm Katara of the Southern Water Tribe. Is anyone who remembers me still here...?
How could I not be here instantly? It's HIM
Well if it isn't my favorite waterbender friend. Okay, maybe you're also my ONLY waterbender friend. But STILL.

Natasha Romanoff — Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) — OPEN
Natasha has her device out, looking at the map every so often as she walks around for something that seems to especially catch her eye. Where and what that is, she has yet to find out.
She comes to a building that looks easy enough to climb up (well, if you're a super agile assassin), so with the phone slipped into her back pocket, she looks over a nearby tree and hoists herself up on a branch. Before she does, though, anyone nearby can hear her incredibly corny joke to herself as she sings mostly off key a few words of a Pitbull and Kesha banger from a few years back, “It's going down, I'm yelling Temba”. Timber, Temba, same difference. She thought it was funny. From the branch, to another, to an edge of a window, and grabbing onto questionably loose siding as she scales up to the roof. Not without accidentally knocking some stuff loose and having it fall to the ground. Watch out?
Later, catch her in The Deep End. She has questionable multiverse drinks to try.

Questions for anyone who wants to answer:
One: How long have you been here? I'd like to know what to expect, because this place clearly doesn't respect the fact I was busy back home and detours were not in my plans. Not that I'm bad at not rolling with the punches, but sheesh.
Two: Please tell me there's someone here who could use a sparring partner.

Peter Parker | MCU
Peter was feeling a lot of conflicting emotions at the moment. It was totally awesome that he was on a different planet-destroyed though it was but also he had an English test tomorrow and being here didn't exactly bode well for that. That and he couldn't help but worry about May. She was going to be worried sick. To get his mind off the thought he decided the best first step to any problem is research.
Unfortunately, the Library wasn't exactly in the shape he was hoping it was. He knew it would probably be rundown but maybe there was still a book or two left over. He moved up the steps to the main doors, an eerie feeling in his stomach born from nerves and watching too many scary movies settled in. He sucked in a breath and pushed the door open, wincing slightly at the shrill squeak from neglected door hinges in desperate need of some oil.
"Hello?" He calls out softly, stepping hesitantly into the building. This is a bad idea. Every horror movie he's ever watched has taught him this is a terrible idea. He does it anyway. "Anyone in here?"
O_O Peter!
He turns, putting a surprised smile on his face, and watching Peter's expression closely to see when it was they've pulled him from. If the kid doesn't know yet maybe he doesn't have to get rid of him so soon.
"Peter?" he asks in disbelief.
Oh no.
^_^
Is it good luck or bad luck Peter doesn't recognize him? 8|a

Lerith || Dragon Age Inquisition OC
With the disorientation of an orb that he thought to be in a dream, came the throb of memories. The back of Lerith’s head hurt, a nasty white scar where the hair didn’t grow aching like it did all those years ago. Suddenly the elf felt like he was back in that merchant’s cage, watching magisters size him up and comparing him to the price set for him.
Shaking fingers pulled the scarf around his neck up and over his head, hiding his head and collared neck in its ragged orange fabric. What was all that? What was the Agrii? Yellow eyes scrunched shut, trying to block out the memories of Tevinter in favor of focusing on what he had seen when he had touched the orb.
There was so much information. Lerith pressed a hand too his scarred up and tattooed face, taking in quick breaths. This was overwhelming. And certainly not Haven any longer. It felt dizzying. Maybe this was some sort of illusion spell that had been cast on him?
‘No, no don’t think like that,’ he silently scolded himself. At last the elf opened his eyes to look around. It didn’t look like any place he had seen in Thedas, no place that Varric might have stories of.
Where was he?!

[What a strange device. It flickers on, showing a pale and bony elf wrapped up in a ragged orange hood. Eyes of yellow with teal tattoos and scars everywhere on his face look at the screen, but he doesn’t understand what he’s looking at.
The device is given a shake, and held up at a different angle. There’s a peek of metal tight around his neck from where the hood slips a little.
His right hand, not holding the device, moves as though spelling something out. Something simple, maybe someone would answer?]

Father Paul Hill/Midnight Mass
hi im new in town
It was surprisingly easy to forget oneself entirely while standing in the soft glow of that alien orb. Paul stared at it, still and in shock, for some time after the flood of information filled him with the briefest touch, and when he moved it was only to sit at the edge of the murmuring fountain where he could continue to watch the strange ball, unfocused and with rosary in hand, slowly working the beads through his fingers. Everything else felt familiar. The buildings were tall, but the town was empty of life, abandoned for greener pastures. He still wore the clothes he remembered putting on despite not remembering falling asleep, cardigan protecting him from the chill in the air and collar reassuringly stiff. This could be a dream. He'd had stranger ones that turned out to be true.
It became much more difficult to forget as the sky began to lighten. All at once, the orb looked so much like the sun, and he scanned what remained of the stars above with some belated panic, the eerie reflection of his eyes in the dark flashing as they darted and he wondered if the morning meant waking, or an ending. Maybe he was supposed to wait.
So he did, for as long as he could, but there was already an uncomfortable itch urging him to run as the last of the stars faded and the sky sighed from purple to blue, and in the moment before the sun shot its first flare up over the horizon and came spilling down these comfortably empty streets, he was on his feet and moving fast. A touch of orange fell across the diner door just as he stepped through it, bringing with him a strange hiss and a whiff of smoke as he stumbled inside then backed away quickly from the door and the windows, bumping noisily into a table behind him so it scraped across the floor.
Spoilers fine! <3
So the sudden figure practically falling inside startled him enough that his knife was out and positioned defensively before he was even aware he'd moved, and it took him a second to take in the stranger and his own probably very threatening first impression. The tension didn't quite melt away, but Bucky looked something like apologetic as that knife disappeared again.
"...You all right?" he checked belatedly, as though he hadn't just brandished a knife at the man, looking sheepish and out of practice with all this, but he was trying.

Yelena Belova | MCU |OTA
Yelena frowned as she stared at her device. "Well, this was a shit plan, Yelena," She muttered to herself as if talking to herself would somehow make all the answers appear to her. "Yeah, right," she spoke to herself again. She's talking out loud so anyone in her general vicinity would hear her, but she isn't talking to anyone specific. Being outside in the open air is someplace that Yelena always felt comfortable in. She preferred missions where she could be outside instead of inside the confines of the Red Room. She supposed that wouldn't be an issue now.
She stood in front of the Residence Towers, choosing the one on the left. She went in closer to inspect the area of entry.
"Are we going to do this the easy way or the hard way, hm?"
Ships
"Twin Roses, heh?" Yelena spoke as the doors to the ship opened. She stepped inside and couldn't get over how much space there was on this particular ship. Yelena reached her hand up to touch the lights, her fingers pausing just before she touched them. She smiled a mischievous smile; people didn't realize that she really was a child at heart. The mirrors were an odd choice, but she liked the homey feel. It reminded her of Ohio.
"The only thing missing is a dog," she stated with a nod.

"What's the hard way?" He had to ask; he couldn't help it. At least he wasn't staring at her ass--anymore--when he spoke. Not that it was easy to tell, considering he was wearing white-rimmed sunglasses while he picked restlessly at the edge of the cast on his right forearm.

Gladiolus Amicitia - Final Fantasy XV (Canon AU)
1. Arrival
In a way this place that he'd arrived in was familiar. Well, not fully familiar, but it was enough like the ruins of Insomnia that Gladio couldn't help but put two and two together to find four. Pretty common number, four, and pretty simple math to do. One ruined city that had been left to break down and let nature take over looked a lot like another. Except of course for the fact that this place wasn't where he'd grown up, there was way more plant life in evidence here, and well, it wasn't in the prodominate colors that the Crown City had embraced.
There was no emotional bond to this place, and yet the destruction still felt familiar and painful.
That didn't mean he trusted the seeming silence of the place. Ruins often meant lingering monster presence, and Gladio knew how to be careful about things like that. Perhaps that made him jumpier than he might otherwise be. His senses were keyed up to eleven, and at the slightest hint of a sound he summoned a great sword nearly as large as he was to hand, ready to defend himself from whatever danger there might be.
"Someone there?"
2. Visiting Spaceships
Spaceships. It literally sounded like something out of one of Prompto and Noctis's games, the sort of things they would have sat around for hours in Noct's apartment for. But nope, here they were. Actual spaceships.
"Bet I know some people who would love to take you apart," Gladio noted to himself as he wandered around the outside of one labeled as 'Cake Dance'.
Why would a Cake Dance? Well, no matter. Gladio didn't much care why it would do that, because clearly this thing wasn't a cake. It could supposedly go into space, but that didn't mean the thing would get him get back home any time soon.
"So what good are you then?"
3. Network
So, going out on a limb here and guessing there's no cup ramen here. I guess the question is what sort of food there is. Been a while since I've had some good fresh greens or a high end steak, so I'll take about anything.
Also, how familiar are people with the areas outside of these two cities? Seems like you've all been here long enough to find answers in the cities themselves, so thought maybe it's time to wander abroad.

So he kicked a rock and it echoed really loudly for some reason which had him listening a little harder than he should have. But then he heard an answering call, like a challenge. He hadn't expected to hear another voice, yet alone it sound pretty damn familiar.
He went slowly and had his hand trail along the rock wall. The king paused and that voice went through his head.
It couldn't be who he thought it was, but still, a small hope lit in Noct's heart as he rounded the corner. And his dark blue eyes widened. By the Six...

I mean, experiences here have been a bit messy. Like, there are so many things right off the top of my mind that I could list. First suggestion, if you see a REALLY powerful storm blowing up, try and stay safely inside.
Well, I guess you can be outside if you like hallucinations and you don't have powers or something.
