OOC Yays!: I don't have an essay about what I'm feeling neurotic about this time lmao you're welcome. Someone else bring that discussion to me, let me pick your brain. My Trope Jars still look like this, I'll play anything with you if you're giving me the energy back. I guess what I would really love right now is some feedback!!, because I feel like I keep on striking out and have maybe gotten off track with Tony. I never use this section right.
OOC Nopes!: This isn't actually an overall nope, but I thought I'd note I've been making a conscious decision not to tag the like...teen to young adult?? vague hands characters, ONLY because I feel like there are a bunch of them and they should be developing their tribe and until I see that happening, I'm wasting their time with this midlife crisis. That isn't to say I don't want to tag your younger characters, rather I'm noting it here in case that sounds bonkers to you and you would rather I take up your time more, and that tribe does exist already and I just haven't been paying attention. This is just the latest fixation in a series where I decide that other characters would be more appropriate in places or activities or whatever, like it would piss me off if Billy was suddenly the rich guy building robots for some reason, and I don't want to do that to someone else. Does anyone follow me? Oh look that's where the neurotic essay went.

Character name: Tony Stark
Expertise/Ship: Communications, and he's on the Vanquish, which he actually hasn't spent any time on yet really. What's up shipmates?
Current residence: Still the forge/orange 24. This is probably the best description of it that I've written. He might be basically splitting his time between there and the library now that he has Iron Man to travel around easily.
Typical activities: Roller-skating around, getting into trouble. I don't actually know anymore. He can be a little reclusive, and Cayde still HAS HIS SUNGLASSES, so you might be most likely to meet him in the armor, carrying junk around to turn into miracles.

Character themes: If you've been in one of these before, you've read this before
Addiction/control and isolation/abysmal self-worth are going to come up and he is going to be constantly dramatic and depressed. Building things/solving puzzles/the future are good distractions and his happy place. He will just start giving you stuff if you are nice enough to pay attention to him for 0.5 seconds. a t t e n t i o n.

Ongoing: Just recently he outlined an itinerary: get that thing out of Catra's head, scope out the Palace place over in Sh'Ka, try to get their audience's attention by blowing something up. Mostly, he's hanging out with Jon and Cayde and trying to figure out how to live here/get out of here. We haven't talked about the War Room where they map the place/pool their information/lay plans since Ikora left, but if someone wants to pick that up again with Tony, that would be choice.
Future: I feel like I've been saying this for months, but I know Beck wants to be a villain at Tony so that's the only thing really in the chamber still. I've got some GOOFY plots stewing re: werewolves, body swaps, honey i shrunk the kids, and if any of that piques your interest, just throw it all at me. Tony still hasn't gone to visit the fancy robot estate in Sh'Ka and that is a crime.

CR You Want: Did you see the Trope Jars?
Some specifics because of who I am as a person:
1. Celty: I feel like Tony and Celty laid some good groundwork, but I don't know what for. What are we.
2. Felwinter: They were at odds early, and I've been using that as a good reason to finally leave one of your characters alone, so let me know if you want me to keep doing that. BUT now that Tony knows a little more about Exos, maybe we could actually make something of Kaz's...secret. I don't know what that is.
3. Reeve AND Rufus: Tony and Rufus still haven't really met to be gremlins together, directly at Reeve. I feel like we must need a solid plan to do so.
4. Keith: lmao hey man. I do have a couple of reasons to send Tony to Sh'Ka, so maybe Keith really should be his bodyguard?? Unless you've thought of something funnier since then.
5. THAT REMINDS ME: GENERAL EVERYONE??: anyone that went by the Civics Centre during the painting thing, you should have picked up an IOU ticket. You don't have to have tagged into that to claim one. Feel free to cash them in with Tony any time. Let's talk about it.
6. Echo: Get Tony's glasses back you demon
7. Jon: they still haven't had a real fight and seem really resistant to it, so I have to figure out something else to be horny about. Or its your turn to pick something to struggle with, mine isn't working, I'm SORRY they're so IN LOVE.
8. Lauri: Last time they were together, they were kind of Cool, and since then Tony has committed a lot of crimes to her building. What's going on there, what's up?

As for Felwinter, GO ON AND BOTHER HIM. I dunno, they might not ever be friends friends and the thought of someone finding Tony pinned by his shirt and some rebar to a wall one day will never not be funny in my head. But if they wanna talk Kaz and Tony wants to work out more on that post that was made, I am all for it.

Current residence: Green-9 / The salvage/workshop
Typical activities: Poking around unclaimed buildings for things to salvage or maybe just clear some places out. He doesn't stay at the museum/Jedi temple anymore but you can catch him trying to keep it cleaned up, or using the meditation room, or going through lightsaber drills. Otherwise you can find him at the workshop, and if you need any spare parts or a portable heater, you're more than welcome to drop by.

Character themes: Traumatic past kind of goes with most Jedi coming out of the Clone Wars. He's largely gotten around the large bumps that have kept him down earlier on, done a bit of growing up and taking responsibility. Not to say he won't still have some moments, but he's largely in a better place, mentally.

Ongoing: I guess it's safe to say Cal and Merrin are a thing. Aside from that, he's decided not to stay in the temple because he feels the Jedi were meant to be more available to others to be able to help everyone better. He's still picking at fixing equipment and powerlines over in Sh'Ka when he can.

Future: I don't plan that far ahead, don't ask me these questions lol. I'm used to just going with things. Maybe find an excuse to have him revisit those awful caves by the beach if you wanna see his psychometry go bonkers again.

Typical activities: If he's not off wandering somewhere or pestering Jon and Tony or Echo then he's playing barkeep at The Deep End, cleaning glasses, counting bottles, maybe throwing darts at his crooked dartboard. Otherwise he can be found up in high places or poking around dilapidated buildings either in Temba or Sh'Ka. Sometimes one might catch him up in the clocktower working on a map or sharpening his many knives. On occasion he'll be out in the ampitheater with some empty bottles set up for target practice.

Character themes: Laid back Hunter who likes to shoot things. He is from an FPS video game after all. He's perky and happy-go-lucky but that's because he doesn't want to dwell on other things, although sometimes they work their way in. If that happens he usually lets that mask slip around those closest.

Ongoing: Got his arm sliced off by Catra Prime. Got it reattached by Tony and Jon. Making sure it's still got a decent reaction time by throwing snowballs at The Soldier. On team 'how do we get that thing out of Kit-Kat's head'. Planning mass destruction. He's blown up the tunnel to Calibrations a few times now but it keeps clearing up, so he's saving what explosives he has left. Still waiting for that other shoe to drop.

Future: He would love to be shooting something. Like those Atroma-folk or whoever that are pulling the strings.

The Cradle he hopes was taken directly from Zavala's desk and the Titan Commander is going mad looking for it.

Lord Felwinter

Typical activities: Watching you. Well not really, but he does watch things from the Security tower. It's got a great view. He'll otherwise be out in empty areas trying to gauge how much he can push his abilities without compromising himself. And then there's skimming about the network.

Character themes: Identity and insecurity? I DON'T KNOW I FAIL AT THEMES

Ongoing: He's taken something of a backstep after Kaz has made good on his threat, mostly seeing who he can trust and cautious of who might think to ask further questions. His work with his Void and Solar powers is slightly more focused on the need for his own survival, but he's always been paranoid. You would too if your AI dad threw warsats at you.

Future: He sincerely wants to help people. He just needs to work on that trust aspect, so some reminder that not all people are Kaz terrible is always a good thing. He does feel vindicated by the response of most of the people to Kaz's post, at least, but he's still got his concerns from home ingrained. Some valid points have been made to him so he might be a little more willing to open up about who he is if someone asks the right questions. Or is just downright pushy.

Typical activities: If it were warmer she'd be out 'patrolling' or tagging along with Echo for patrols around the city. Sometimes she has Tony the mothcat with her. She also tries to keep up her practice with her energy bow. Sometimes she likes to climb up on the Eewawani boulder mound parked by the glownie pen to keep it company.

Character themes: Uuuuh... Science and child soldiers?

Ongoing: She loves learning new things, and most everything is new to her since she's had limited experience with things that others might consider quite normal. Always eager to help, and making friends. Winter's one of those new things for her so she's been trying to keep warm and Kyle's letting her stay at his place at Kaz's insistence. She'd stay with her brother but his watchtower isn't exactly warm.

Future: Maybe she will pilot some day. Also she's the most likely to get canon-updated at some point.

Character themes: BETRAYAL. MANIPULATION. Beck is not a nice guy, but will work very hard to convince you he is! It will come to a head soon, I promise, I know I've been saying that forever, but I mean it.

Can do the father/uncle figure for people looking to have the rug pulled out from them.

Ongoing: He's been working very hard to establish himself as a guy you can trust, which has been hard with the Marvel Comics ppl knowing him as an open villain. He's setting up connections and being friendly as he sets up his web without the help of a whole team behind him.
Future: He's going to actually do the bad guy shit. I failed to get that going once before, so I'm not going to say too much about my plan/timeline, but it is in the works, and he will be outed so...get your manipulation in now I guess? lol

Typical activities: Normally skulking about, climbing and spying. Currently she has a dictator in her head, so a lot less of that until the chip is removed. You might find her trying to build something, though without engineering it isn't going well.

Character themes: Abuse, lashing out, violence. Catra grew up in a very bad environment, and has in turn become very much like her abusers. Currently she is under the control of an ancient dictator controlling her via hive mind/a chip in her neck, and there is a lot of cultish stuff and war and colonialism wrapped up in all of that. She's a tough character to get close too, and when you are it may be hard to know as she will rarely be particularly nice for fear of seeming weak, so be prepared for that.

Ongoing: Evil man in her brain. Tony and friends are working to get the chip out!
Future: Once that's removed there is going to be some traaaauma. She won't be super willing to deal with it, but if determined characters want to help her, she will need a push to work through what's happened to her.

Typical activities: He's still recovering from a broken arm (from which he'll be getting his cast off soon, assuming I remember) so he's been kind of taking it easy, but he can still be found walking his dog Jack Daniels, playing with Jack, poking around buildings and ruins looking for anything interesting, missing street racing, and dreaming in semi-secluded locations.

Character themes: Uuuuuh, Ronan's likely to come up, K's head over heels for him. Also, the fact that K knows he dies back home. His drug addiction might come up? But I tend to keep a little quiet about it/so does Kavinsky.

Ongoing: Kavinsky doesn't have nearly as many friends as he should, really. He needs to talk to more people and make more connections. He'll be getting his cast off soon, also now that I think about it I'm not sure what the state of the theater security system is (something K and Ronan were going to work on).
Future: He'll be getting his cast off soon! Depending on how things go with Kaz in the future, Kavinsky and Ronan might out themselves as dreamers. And that's all the future planning I've got.

As an interesting possible thing, I want to offer Reeve out to you. Reeve's an interesting character who was sort of like the Tony Stark of his world when it came to refining energy systems. He's also sort of good at robotics but not with programming, and travels with a cat-doll that is a robot body, but has a soul? Basically Reeve's smart, has things he can teach or would be willing to learn, and would have NON MILD ANXIETY over Peter being reckless. And is from a world of interesting stories of magic and technology and epic quests. I think he might be an interesting character to bounce off Peter. Not to mention the fact that Mini, the cat-robot-doll could use more friends and he might find Peter intriguing.

Haha. That said, he is in a committed relationship. This isn't a horror game in general, so I won't get into the longer list of horror no-gos, but I'm not up for doing anything that's going to affect him permanently (like limb loss, etc).

Expertise/Ship: Pilot on the Bloodsport
Current residence: Sort of still the hotel in Temba or on the Bloodsport (he has a go bag there)... he and Lance are going to be looking for something a little homier.
Typical activities: He can be found doing exploration stuffs, training with Kosmo in various places around the two cities or on the beach, keeping himself busy in the hangar, or using the obstacle course at Lauri-Ell's gym. He's restless right now.

Character themes: Keith's history is loaded with fighting, war, death, parental issues (like death and abandonment), trauma, PTSD, the foster care system, bullying, being pursued, kidnapping, captivity, alternate realities... people around him have suffered torture, experimentation, amputation, parental death, missing family, kidnapping, captivity, cloning.

Ongoing: Keith talks to Tommy and Lauri-Ell a lot, he's dating Lance, and his best bro is Shiro. He's also got a weird "you owe me but not" kind of thing going on with Tony. A lot of his CR has dropped over the time here, and Keith has issues with loss, so he's been having some trouble connecting beyond surface acquaintances to new people. He's spent time or interacted on some level with Catra, Lark, Cayde, Gladio, Winter Soldier, Billy, Padme, and Poe. I would love to get him back out there and interacting with people again.
Future: I would like to get him more involved in the overall plot of the game. I feel like he's kind of drifting and aimless at the moment, and I'm a little lost on what to do with him. Open to ideas.

CR You Want: I'm really open to a lot of different things. Keith would absolutely be a mentor if someone wanted to go that route. I can't say he'd be a good one, but he does have an innate need to pay it forward for what Shiro did for him when he was a kid. I'm also looking for friends, found family, training partners... even rivals or antagonists.

Hey, just realized that Gladio is Keith's new ship-mate. Show him the ship. TEach him about space. And then come be his sparing partner, kid. Part of Gladio's speciality and training growing up was learning to adapt to new weapons to help train other people, so he could help Keith tick things up a notch. And then, if Keith's willing, he might try and convince the guy to come out hunting with him.

Gladio is big on hunting, either monsters to protect people, or just for food. And Keith can tell him about any cup-noodles his world might have (sorry, it's an interest of Gladio's). Hell, kid's really good in a fight and focused a lot on speed, so he could end up a really good rival to Gladio who is about slower, more deliberate combat with his great sword, and defensive combat too.

Tommy

Character name: Tommy Shepherd
Expertise/Ship: Agriculture and Twin Roses, but he's also the operator/owner of the Diner.
Current residence: Pink 13 - The Young Avengers HQ and Residence
Typical activities: Most days Tommy's primary two focuses are tending to/harvesting from the greenhouses in Temba and Sh'Ka, and running the diner to make sure people can eat. When he has time, he will basically 'bug' anyone with electrical engineering experience to try and learn more about making things.

Character themes: Tommy's main themes are struggling to fit in with 'normal' people and a serious issue with expressing himself emotionally. He's quick to judge and will hold grudges, and often misunderstands people but doesn't give them a chance to make it clear (but gets annoyed if he doesn't have a chance). So Tommy is often going to be annoying, I warn you of that.

Going forth I want to explore Tommy getting better at communication, and trying his first building project of his own. He wants to figure out how to build/reprogram some machines to do the basics of food work like harvesting/preparing things for dehydrating/preserving food. Also, he wants to explore a more practical side of his explosive powers, if someone has the patience to work with him and stand by with buckets of water or to help him patch up any wounds he might accidentally cause himself.

As a note, it's REALLY easy to either end up an enemy of Tommy, or to manipulate him into doing bad things. The guy is a bit more morally gray than he'd like to admit, and while he's smart when he lets himself think about things, he doesn't always think about things deeply enough to keep himself from making mistakes. He has, in the past, threatened Drake's life, and had threatened to leave people stranded on an island near the beach if they misbehave.

Ongoing: Tommy's working on improving his cooking and electrical engineering skills, he's learning how to work with robotics too. But a lot of his time is taken up by food harvesting and preservation, and he's realizing he needs more help at the diner. Also with New Tick, his gift was his phone from back home, so until he runs the battery out, he's got music. Come share with him.
Future: I would like Tommy to get tricked into doing something bad. I think maybe accidentally bringing down a building might be nice, or contributing to a misunderstanding. I'd also like him to start to work him toward fully accepting himself as an emotional person and the fallibility of people. Teach this boy how to communicate about feelings. Also, someone help him make a charger and speaker for his phone.

CR You Want: Just about anything is valid. Definitely friends. If you haven't met Tommy yet, he wants to meet your character and develop some CR with them. Making romantic overtures is welcomed, but he won't return them because he loves Kyle. I also wouldn't mind someone trying to dad or mom at him because he would get SO OFFENDED.

Hey Tessa! I would really love to do more with Lauri and Natasha actually. For a number of reasons. For one thig, Lauri is still learning a lot about humanity, and most of her initial really good learning happened from another spy/assassin woman. and she respects women a lot but that's her own thing to figure out because ladies are pretty and she doesn't get that concept so sort of mentoring her like that could be fun. Especially since Lauri would believe things Natasha said and so Nat can have some harmless trolli fun by telling her things and how to handle stuff. Maybe Nat can even teach her how to put up with Stark without getting angry (and if Nat updates to Endgame, Lauri can ask her for stories about her sister).

I feel so silly to be advocating for mentors for one of my older characters, but I'm doing it anyway (and it's not like she won't get some from Bull too).


Beyond that, and forgive me for responding for two different characters in one reply, for new hobbies, well, maybe she could help Lark. Lark spins thread, makes cloth, and makes clothing. She needs new hands to help her gather spiderweb silk which is not easy to help her do that, and she wants to try and start dying things, but with everything else she needs to do more hands are helpful, especially once that might be quick, smart, and willing to learn something constructive. They could even be Team Team Mom together in some ways. Lark used to be an acrobat when she was younger and Nat could even teach her new flips and stuff like that. Plus then if they got settled, I could put Lark in some sort of trouble and maybe get a rescue.

Character name: hahaha oh boy this is a loaded question. Technically his name is James "Bucky" Barnes but he actively refuses to go by James, Bucky, or Barnes for reasons relating partly to the ideas of self and identity and partly relating to his whole Drift Fleet/Temba experience. Prefers not to take a name at all but will tell people needing a designation to call him the Soldier (not the Winter Soldier, that's a whole other part of the identity thing).
Expertise/Ship: again with the loaded questions! No but seriously, while he refuses to take an Agrii data point he does still have the chip implanted by the Atroma, with the Security specialty. Ship is the First Breath; he doesn't spend much time on it unless they're actively traveling (i.e., ship events).
Current residence: currently some building in Sha'Ka that provides adequate shelter from the elements and a defensible campsite. Moves around constantly, and has been keeping more to Sha'ka because there are fewer people there.
Typical activities: currently exploring Sha'Ka. Regularly goes for runs and trains mostly on his own. Will spar if asked but not likely to volunteer the activity. Will teach self defense/work to improve fighting style if asked but not likely to volunteer the activity outside of close CR. Currently focusing on making sure nothing too threatening in terms of wildlife lurks around Sha'Ka, as it's more recently discovered and much less habitable. Occasionally travels back to Temba, mostly on the train but probably accepts a ride now and then when Poe flies between the cities.

Character themes: oh boy. Identity and the whole idea of what makes a person, a person is a huge theme and something I've definitely been exploring with him. Spoiler: the Soldier does not consider himself a person; he considers himself a thing (specifically a weapon). People who have the patience to argue the whole idea of personhood are welcome (with the awareness that it will not always be a fruitful or a positive conversation experience). While he doesn't necessarily advertise his skillset, if pushed he won't make it a secret that he's an assassin. He won't speak about the extent of the whole HYDRA torture and brainwashing experience (including the possibility of the trigger words activating him) outside of close CR.

Ongoing: exploring Sha'Ka. Occasionally returning to Temba. Being a grump.
Future: I have been floundering a little (mostly due to life being life, let's be real) and I know I owe some tags but I don't have concrete plans right now. Parties aren't his thing so he likely won't be tagging into the New Tick gathering but if someone wants to do something adjacent to it/surrounding the non-celebratory parts, I'm absolutely open to it. Otherwise I'm just kind of coasting alongside work commitments right now/looking for "easier" interactions due to lack of brain bandwidth.

CR You Want: hilarious misunderstanding hijinks are the bomb, seriously. Need an exploration partner who's pretty indestructible? Need some heavy lifting? This guy right here.
