SPRING TEST DRIVE MEME
Application FAQ | Taken Characters | Reserves | Application
Welcome to the Current Test Drive for The Revival Project!
This game is a spin-off from the closed The Drift Fleet game. For more information about the game, including more details on the setting, please check out the FAQ here or the premise here.
A thread on the TDM will be required for all applications. Please view the FAQ for information about how this works. Any questions about the game please direct to the comment section of the FAQ as well.
If you are a Drift Fleet alumni bringing your character from the game, please label your character as 'DFAU' on your top level. Also, keep in mind you have complete flexibility on how your character comes here. They could be taken before endgame, after endgame, two years after, one year before, etc. It's up to you! If you want to completely restart your character, they're not considered DFAU anymore and won't need the label.
So go! Explore Agra 10! And, as always, HAVE FUN!

Spring in Temba and Sh'Ka
Despite the sparkling cover, young plants have begun to sprout, young green stems peeking out between pink and red and purple.
Sh'Ka, also, has been freed of its more icy coverage. The glitter here is a lot finer and the layer of it covering the overgrown city not nearly as thick as in Temba. Instead, the glittery mist every move brushes up in the air hangs there much longer and seems reluctant, even, to settle back down.
Despite those differences both cities are currently very, very sparkly...

Most of the buildings are run down and have clearly been abandoned for years; fortunately, the water treatment center appears to be working, but power is intermittent and unreliable. What used to be stores or places to live in lies in ruins, but there may still be something to scavenge among the rubble. Do you want to risk a swim in the flooded area that has turned into a deep lake that has yet to be fully explored; or does it draw you to some of the more prominent and partially restored buildings, such as the hotel, the hospital or the amphitheater.
If you are lucky, you might even stumble over The Deep End, the bar located on one of the mid-levels of the tower residences in one of the residence towers. Unfortunately no bright neon signs can lead you there, but it does exist.
Visit the spaceships!
Try the network!
There be storms...
Should you step inside the storm, or even get lost in it, it will show ghosts of people you know and those you don't. It drains you of any super-human abilities and tries its best to keep you from getting to its origin. Are you going to try anyways? Or are you going to chase the whispers of people from your past? Maybe you will simply find yourself calling for help or stumble across another lost soul in need of assistance.

A pause. The head tilts a little, like a person bringing bad news. "The house in Malibu was destroyed by one of Killian's men. You saved Miss Potts with this suit before going down into the ocean, where I saved you. To which I brought you just outside of Rosehill, Tennessee, before I went offline due to power failure."
The head lifted back up. The suit was still, keeping his spot. "We've since relocated to the Avengers Tower after you and Miss Potts defeated Killian with her Extremis ability that Killian gave to her."
The AI was starting to suspect that this particular Tony Stark was not his Tony Stark. Something did not metaphorically feel correct. The suit took a step back, scans running invisibly over Tony to pull up readings in the suit's HUD.

Extremis might have been a sticking point for both of them. There were some things about Tony that could have been universal constants, but a quick scan would reveal a few remarkable distinctions in this one; that the suit he wore itself was run on the program that he called Extremis, connected directly to a transhuman upgrade in his brain and a web of nanomachines that covered his skin. And he was a few inches taller, he would want to have noted.
"Hold on, let's--backup, reset. I feel like you're asking me what I want for breakfast, and I don't even remember having the date. Hi, Tony Stark," he said, delicate hand to his glowing chest, unforgiving faceplate hiding the disarming smile that would have made his delivery far more convincing. "Unbearably rich, we should get coffee."

And JARVIS didn't like it.
"Sir, I am aware of who you are, but if you insist. Good afternoon," presuming the time in this place, "Mr. Stark. I am JARVIS. The first defense-line of Stark security. In... my world, I suppose. I'm presuming you are not the Tony I am familiar with now." Especially with the differences that keep it from being a perfect match. This Tony seemed a little taller, nanomachines in his skin like invisible tattoos. Some sort of upgrade in his skull that the AI just wasn't familiar with.
"I am the AI that my Mr. Stark created. Essentially as the years went on, I consider him my best friend, Sir. I apologize for the mistake on my part."
no subject
"No, it's--" he tried to dissuade, waving the apology away, only to quickly move on instead, "Hey, here's the good news: he's going to be incredibly jealous when you tell him you went to space and met a bunch of people from different dimensions. I hope that makes you feel great, because the bad news is, you're in space and nobody's managed to map those dimensions yet, so you could be in any one of them."
no subject
"I believe he might be jealous that I'm conversing with a different version of him that I thought was him in the first place, sir. Then he'd focus on the different dimensions and people I've met." Though the news of being stranded here in a dimension that was completely unknown... well, that hurt. How was he going to get home? "Are you certain? As I don't have any body functions such as breathing and the like, perhaps I may be able to explore space easier and get a better idea of our location within it?"
