He chooses not to comment on the part about movies because he's fairly certain he's never seen a full movie involving space or aliens. If it was unrealistic Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon would probably be against it.

That or they just wouldn't let him in the room while they all watched television. It wasn't like he wanted to be in the same room with them anyway.
